Chapter One Hundred One

Embarrassingly, Red Jones introduced his parents to Milton and Tiwari, “Mom, Dad. Meet the CEO of the company I am seeking help from. Sir, Mister, meet my parents.”

Milton and Tiwari shared a glance. Milton was disappointed.

“Oh. Hello. I apologize for scaring you, sir.” Red’s mother bowed at Tiwari.

Tugging his hair frustratedly, Red pointed at Milton, “Mom, not him. But the other one.”

“Oh. My apologies, sir.” Red’s mother said, her voice a tint of amusement.

Milton waved at her. “It is okay.”

“Follow me, I must give you something to eat as you tell me what my son has lied to you. I am not selling the land.” The woman shoved her son ahead and link her arms with both Tiwair and Milton.

“Mom, how many times must I tell you these people are not interested in buying the land? They are here to see the fruits.” Red said playfully.

As they headed to the house, Milton liked their playfulness. And just recalling the machete, he couldn’t help but wonder whether the woman was just playing.
