Chapter One Hundred Three

By the time Milton and Brianna finished explaining to Melinda, Melinda was laughing so hard.

Clearing her throat, Melinda told Milton, “my apologies. They shouldn’t have overreacted like that and then turned to the lady they were trying to save.”

Brianna shook her head disbelievingly while saying, “turning me ‘the victim’ to ‘the abuser.”

Milton nodded, smiling. “I didn’t see that one coming.”

“Well. It happens when someone misreads things. Excuse me for a minute.” Melinda went to the next office where the blonde and her friend were and told them Milton and Brianna have forgiven them.

The blonde left the office while muttering how ungrateful people were while her friend remained apologizing to Melinda.

“I am sorry about that. I will be more vocal next time.” Milton said while rubbing his forehead.

“Don’t worry. I am sorry too. I will wait outside while you speak to her.” Brianna said while standing.
