Chapter Twenty-Five

“I had my reason, Milton.” Roger Jackson repeated.

“Tell me what it is. Tell me why I had to be humiliated like that. Tell me why you thought it is okay for everyone to know the changes and I didn’t. Tell me why.” Milton screamed.

This was the first time Milton was expressing his anger. And boy, how good it felt. Rarely did Milton get angry.

“I did not sign up for this. I asked you for nothing. I never told you I wanted a company or a hotel. Oh, or the fucking name, ‘young master’.” Milton kicked the table. The veins in his forehead were popping. His lips were trembling.

“Milton, you need to calm down,” Brianna spoke for the first time.

“You. Get out!” Milton pointed at the door.

Brianna rose to hold him.

Brianna was skeptical when it came to Roger and his actions toward his family. He might be lenient, sitting here, letting Milton run his mouth, but that didn’t mean he would be quiet forever. Every man had their boiling point and Brianna didn’t want Milton to be on the receiving end
