Chapter Twenty-One

Dickson was finally talking. He had to or else he would have been dragged out of the café screaming bloody murder by Troy.

While he was training with Easton, Milton wasn’t okay. He had been thinking about his ex-lover and the fact that he didn’t have a closure made his night harder and harder. Was he crazy to meet Dickson about it instead of Natalie?

“Women love men who are rich and have power…”

Milton shook his head, it angered Dickson. Milton has been doing that, making Dickson start again. Which of course led to the same sentence. Women love money.

“Not my Natalie. Natalie can’t be swayed by money.”

“You think.” Dickson scoffed.

Milton leaned in, his voice powerful and intimidating, “why her?”

“I wanted to be happy as the way you were. I couldn’t watch you, poor filthy bastard being with a gorgeous woman like her. Now, happy?”
