Emperor Dylan, Oscar Willson, and many other important personnel of the country personally visited the grand colosseum where the final round was held.

A total of 38 people reached the final round. Out of them, 13 people were nobles, 14 people were knights, 8 people were from SAC, two from royals, and the other person was the Knight Beater who was still wearing his cracked dove mask that completely covered his face.

“As expected of SAC, eight of them reached the final round,” Neodus said.

“Haha, they just got a little lucky, that’s all,” Oscar said while stroking his beard.

With Emperor Dylan sitting at the top row in the back, the other important personnel were sitting in the second top row, and it included the likes of Nedous, Oscar and a dozen others.

The Final Round was a Battle Royale. There were no rules, and people were allowed to fight each other to their heart’s content and even kill each other. However, the unwritten rule was that the nobles shouldn’t be killed.

All the fourteen knights surrounded Ulmer in every direction and stopped him from going toward Brianna. Their average level was exactly seventy two.None of them appeared to be an easy meal because Ulmer could feel some uniqueness in their strengths.“Fourteen on one… and you call yourselves knights?” Ulmer uttered. “Why don’t you call yourselves wolves instead?”His words were very insulting because he compared the honorable knights with cunning, ravenous wolves which would cause destruction wherever they would go.“What? Did my words touch a chord of your ego?” Ulmer added. “You do work for the nobles who don’t mind shitting on common people for no reason. So why do you expect me to respect you when I don’t have any respect for most of the nobles in this country?”What Ulmer was saying right now was outrageous, but at the same time, Ulmer was also very careful with his words. He didn’t say all nobles were bad.“I wish more nobles were like Edward Foster or Branwen Something,” Ulmer

Vincent stepped forward. He still remembered Neodus’ words: Win the games, and then claim the prize as well as the princessVincent took these words to heart.Of course, becoming the crown prince was something he had always wanted ever since he knew the value of being the emperor. However, there was something else that he wanted more than anything else. It was to make Minerva his own.Minerva Brianna Craig was in his heart since they had flown on top of a kite together. He would never forget that journey through heaven, filled with her laughter which was the most pleasant thing he had ever heard. She wasn’t just his first love but his only love.He had expressed his feelings to her one way or another, but she didn’t give him a clear reply yet. He didn’t get to meet her directly in many years, but he always made sure to send her messages either through written form or verbal form so that she wouldn’t forget him.Brianna sent him replies every now and then, so Vincent believed that she

Spring Blossom Slash was an attack that only hurt the target that the user wanted. This was why the previous attack did not destroy the colosseum’s wall. But the second attack did not even create an illusion of flowers blooming. It was just a pink-colored crescent-shaped attack that flew up toward Ulmer in the blink of an eye.Ulmer cross-blocked the incoming slash.“What a fool!” some nobles commented quickly. “To be blocking such an attack with bare arms is like asking to get sliced apart.”However, though the attack struck Ulmer, all it did was leave a little bit of mark on Ulmer’s skin. And that mark also got healed soon.Ulmer landed back on the ground.“H-He’s fine after taking that attack?” many nobles looked astonished.“Of course, he’d be fine,” Rever commented. “That guy is a monster beyond imagination. You people haven’t seen anything of what he’s truly capable of.”Rever said these words not just because he lost to Ulmer but because even his dad was not sure if he could wi

Ulmer’s fist was supposed to strike Vincent’s cheek, but it hit an invisible barrier first.BAM~! CRACK~~!!Surges of electricity leaked and electrocuted Ulmer, repelling him back for almost fifty feet. Even the dirt was dispelled from that impact.Ulmer somersaulted and landed on his feet. “What the hell was that?” His skin got charred, and it hurt.“There it is!”“The Invisible Barrier System that only the royals take turns to possess!”“Yeah, nobody outside the Ten Lions can even hope to put a dent in that barrier.”“Since Prince Vincent has that barrier now, it basically means that the Knight Beater has already lost this fight.”As the people kept talking, Ulmer was about to hear their conversation and understood what was happening without Dove having to explicitly explain things to him. “Invisible Barrier System, huh…” he smirked. “I guess you can only hide behind some barrier and bark like a dog. I shouldn’t have expected too much from a royal who grew up experiencing all the lu

“That was rather dangerous,” Ulmer said. “What kind of system were you using this time?”“How did you survive that?” Vincent asked because he had seen with his own eyes. That attack crashed right on top of Ulmer and crushed him to the ground. How could he not be injured by it? “Do you also have some kind of a barrier system?”“Not quite,” Ulmer replied. “I don’t need barriers because I’m strong even without them.”Vincent took a breath and calmed down. (Don’t be upset. He’s just got some strange ability. I should find out what abilities he has so that I’ll get him with an appropriate attack the next time. For that, I need to first push him to use his abilities.)Vincent then scuttled forth.“Are you finally coming for a close combat?” Ulmer smiled. “Everybody in this country disappointed me when they got close enough, so I hope this is going to be fun.”“Don’t worry. I’ll show you death up close,” Vincent jumped, spun the sword in his hands so that they were held in reverse grip, then

“Vincent is your name, right?” Ulmer started walking forward. “You’re not half bad. You move well, and your battle experience is also good for someone your age.”“You talk like you lived much longer than me,” Vincent coldly uttered, “but I can tell from your appearance that you are young even though I can’t see your face.”“Well, wisdom doesn’t necessarily come with age,” Ulmer replied. “Some people who lived a hundred years won’t be able to learn things that some could learn before they even turn ten.”“So you’re saying that you fall in that second category.”“Actually, we both do,” Ulmer replied. “However, if you’re planning on marrying that young lady over there. Then you should give up on that idea.”Vincent frowned seriously as Ulmer just pointed at Brianna. “What do you mean? Are you interested in Princess Minerva?”Ulmer didn’t say anything, but his silence was understood differently by Vincent and Brianna.(He’s interested in me?) Brianna stood calmly, but her heart was feelin

“I didn’t come all this way to lose in the final round,” Ulmer said. “I will win this competition, and then… get the thing that the emperor promised he’d do. As for the princess… we’ll see what happens.”“You won’t be able to win this competition even in your dreams,” Vincent blurted.“Why would I dream about it when I know for certain that I am going to win it in reality?” Ulmer retorted. “Soon, you’ll also realize that. None of the participants can stop me even if they all come together.”Ulmer’s words made many people turn against him because it felt like he was disrespecting the other contestants that made it to the final round, and there were two royals in the final round. Naturally, many people did not like what Ulmer was spewing.“I alone am more than enough to destroy you from head to toe,” Vincent once again leaped high into the sky and cut through the clouds and sent them flying down in the shape of leaves that were rumbling and crackling with thunder and lightning. “Etherea

It was a sharp and unbearable pain. Most people would have stopped fighting, but Ulmer had the experience of fighting for decades before he came to this city of systems. He had suffered through many life-ending injuries, so losing an eye was nothing much compared to when he was swallowed by a hydra monster or when he got bitten by a giant crocodile monster.Ulmer’s instinctive response was not to cower in pain but to deliver a counter blow to his opponent. And Ulmer pulled his fist all the way to the back of his head before making it fly toward the opponent.“I can see it coming even with my eyes closed,” Vincent moved his body out of the way, but Ulmer’s fist changed direction midway and pounded his face, punching its way through the invisible barrier system and striking his nose.Vincent’s nose got crushed, and he was sent flying into the wall like a missile. The walls got completely destroyed, and Vincent entered the rest rooms that were under the audience stands.Ulmer stood tall,

Can’t you see that they both look nice next to one another? Also, it’s actually nice if there's a five to six year gap between the husband and wife.”Mollie gently held Ayana’s cheeks and lifted up her head.“Where did you hide such a pretty girl all this time from us, Ulmer?” Mollie said. “You will get punished for this later.”“Ulmer always talks greatly about you, Grandmother,” Ayana said. “So, please forgive him this once.”“Hahaha,” Mollie laughed heartily. “Your wife is already defending you so much, Ulmer. “She’s going to live,” the royal healer, Irvi, an old lady with poisonous pimples all over her face, said. She was 120 years old but was still able to stand straight. However, her voice was not steady. She was observing Minerva’s pulse.Minerva was lying on the bed in the medical chambers not far from the royal palace.“However, her system has integrated with her body, so we can’t take it out,” Irvi said. “If we do it right now, she will die.”“Is it not possible to separate the system without killing her?” Ulmer asked.“It is, but that’s only possible when she overcomes the system?” Irvi responded. “The chances of that ever happening are slim.”Ulmer frowned but then said, “Do what you can to heal her.”“I will. That’s my job, after all,” Irvi said. “No matter how wicked a person may be, if they come to my doorstep, I will not turn my back toward them.”Ulmer slightly bowed his head to her and walked out onto the balcony of that building, where Minerva’s dad, Neodus was present.“I t
