“You waited for so long. I wasn’t expecting you to do that,” Ulmer said.

Roger casually smiled. “It’s my job, sir.”

“Not everyone has such patience, though,” Ulmer opined.

“It’s good that you stick to your principles,” Ulmer said. “I admire those who do things their way even when things aren’t going their way. It builds character, and I can see that in you.”

“You are praising me too much, sir.”

“Not at all,” Ulmer calmly stated. “You said you got married, right? I’m also married, so I can somewhat understand what you’re going through. You have to drive for hours every day and possibly even at night to put food on the table. That’s commendable. Your wife is lucky to have a hardworking person like you as her husband.”
