On a hilltop in the northern region of Salem city.

Ulmer put the vampire girl down under a tree. He was about to touch her, but she pushed him away.

“If I don’t remove those bullets, you’re going to die,” he said.

“Nggh!” she gritted her teeth and squeezed all the bullets out of her. Soon, she began to heal herself, though not as fast as she would have liked it.

Ulmer was impressed to see that. “I thought the blood crystals were lethal? But you managed to easily push them out.”

She kept coldly staring at him because she had never seen him before. However, she could tell that he wasn’t a vampire. “Why did you help me? Who are you?”

“Tell me your name, and then I will tell you who I am,” Ulmer replied.

She brought her daggers out of her sleeves. “I don’t trust anybody. Just because you helped me get out of a tricky situation, don’t assume that I will suddenly become friendly toward you.”
