CHAPTER 38

Ulmer stood, and the sound of him clenching his fist was heard even by Henry.

“Are you perhaps coming to pinch us in your wife’s stead?” Henry asked.

“Pfft,” Henry’s four friends spilled the food in their mouths and burst into laughter. “Henry, stop joking when we are chewing. If food gets stuck in our throats, who’s going to save us?”

“Ah, my bad,” Henry picked up a glass of fruit wine, which had very little alcohol in it. “I just said what I felt like.”

Ulmer walked to their table and said, “Apologize.”

“Ah?” Henry snorted. “I can’t hear you.”

“I won’t ask you again,” Ulmer said in a deep voice. “Apologize to me and to my family.”

“Or what?” Henry asked arrogantly, not even looking at Ulmer.

Ulmer’s fist was still clenched. He raised his arm and smashed the table in one blow, sending all the dishes flying.

“What the hell is wrong with you!” Henry’s friends shouted at Ulmer. “Manager! This man is causing a nuisance. Punish him, and then kick him out.”
