CHAPTER 41

The ice cream shopkeeper was carrying a big sack with Kate inside it. Kate wasn’t conscious because he had been knocked out.

The shopkeeper stopped by a dark alley and began to recite a mantra to form a teleportation spell.

“Tsk, it’s taking longer than I thought,” he got a little frustrated. “The magnetic field of the lake is very strong. It’s affecting the portal from forming.”

A portal began to form in the air, but it was also closing rather fast.

“Dammit. I should go a bit further away from the lake,” he thought. “But if anyone sees this bag and asks what is inside, it’ll be troublesome. This boy had been oozing very pure energy. I have to deliver him to Lady Brianna no matter what.”

“Here you are…” Suddenly, someone entered his vision, startling him.

Ulmer’s fist came shooting through the air like a missile.

The shopkeeper moved his head out of the way, but he couldn’t do it properly, and so part of his face got hit.
