In Sunrise village.

Ulmer’s clone was walking down a street during sunset, which came early in this village compared to other villages as it was the easternmost village, with its borders filled with tall, stunning sunflowers.

Every house in the village had beautiful gardens where they grew flowers of all kinds. This was certainly the most colorful village Ulmer had ever seen.

The village was also peaceful with little to no traffic. The kids were playing on the streets, chasing after butterflies.

Ulmer’s mood also brightened a little.

But then, a horse cart rushed past him and stopped by a clinic. The parents brought their daughter out of the cart. She was bleeding from her wrist, even though they already wrapped a cloth around it.

They took their daughter into the clinic.

She seemed eighteen at best, and she was still crying and wiping her tears.Ulmer pitied her, but he pitied the guy who gave up on such a loving soul.“Why did he marry someone else when he said he’d marry you?” Ulmer patiently asked.“My family is poor,” the girl replied. “His parents convinced him to marry someone from a rich background.”“If he left you for someone else, then it means he was never meant to be yours to begin with,” Ulmer said. The girl was still crying.“You clearly love him. You’re clearly hurt that he left you. How many years have you two known each other?”“For three years,” she said.“You felt like dying for a man whom you knew for three years,” Ulmer said. “He isn’t even dead. He just married someone else. On the other hand, your parents have raised you since birth. How would they feel if you were to die? Have you ever thought about that?”The girl pursed her lips together and looked at her parents emotionally.

Everybody was allowed.Drawing from every corner of Syslon, the people began to gather and pour into the vast courtyard, their voices rising into a chorus of shared grief and gratitude. The air was thick with a bittersweet tension, and every cobblestone street thrummed with the sound of footsteps and soft murmurs that discussed the past, present, and future. Brave warriors, knights, nobles, scholars, officials, artisans, mothers cradling infants, and especially the elderly, cloaked in fabric that whispered tales of yore, all made their way to the royal palace. Not far from the royal palace, the emperor’s body was displayed publicly. In the vicinity, the gleaming spires of golden stone reflected the

Syslon had seven supreme staffs: Staff of Chaos, Staff of Illumination, Staff of Judgment, Staff of Genesis, Staff of Destruction, Staff of Dominance, and Staff of Concord.Ulmer gave Regina a mimicking version of Staff of Chaos, by using the storm stone. She was able to bring sixty to seventy percent of its power, which somewhat satisfied her.Ulmer gave Neodus the Staff of Illumination in the same way.Ulmer also gave Vincent the Staff of Judgment, which his grandfather used to own, and it made Vincent emotional.Ulmer gave Ayana the Staff of Concord, which was capable of taming brutes and mighty beasts and more.Last but not least, Ulmer took the gravity system from Nirvan. Dracarius had given it to him after Alveron died. Ulmer was still in Syslon.Like a hunter, he laid traps for Minerva in many places. He knew how the harem system operated. It made someone stronger by sacrificing the blood and sacral energy to the demons.Does that mean Brianna is possessed by demons now? Yes, but they entered her body out of her own volition.Ulmer created many clones which turned into handsome young men of different faces. He made these men roam the empire in great many places, hoping Minerva would come after them. However, by far, nothing happened.“Claudia’s servant must be getting closer to my family,” Ulmer thought to himself. “I don’t have much time. I wish I could catch her, but she’s been extremely careful. I wonder when exactly she is planning to leave. How does she plan to know that I’m gone from here? Did she leave some of her mind-controlled slaves somewhere in the capital? If so, how do I find them? Even if I do find them, I doubt they’ll know where she is. But it will help buy some more time for me.”U
