CHAPTER 72

“The capital of the city…” Ulmer was looking around while traveling on a flying lizardfish that was gelding through the sky right now. “It certainly is very beautiful, clean, and peaceful, but the hearts of the people are not as attractive. Compared to them, the people living outside are living more freely and positively.”

Ulmer then told the driver to slow down.

From hundreds of meters high, he looked down and observed the old lady he had given the money to. She stopped by at her son’s house and showed him the money. He took the money from her, but waved his hand away, telling her to leave. She asked him to let him into the house, but he kicked her away.

Ulmer’s gut twisted upon watching that. “He looks like a wealthy person. Yet, how can he treat his own mother like that? Aren’t the laws here strict? Why isn’t he punished for not taking care of his own mother?”
