Acquaintance

Jason seemed a little bit surprised that the lady knew about his marriage, and that made him a bit embarrassed for a while, but he had to brace himself up, in order not to create so much tension in his body.

“Well, we are divorced now.”

“Yeah, I heard that too, that just really be tough on you, especially with a child in the picture.”

“Hmm?” Jason mumbled in surprise, at how viral his story had gone.

“Oh, come on, don’t feel bad, I am sure that this was probably meant to be. You were really a nice guy back then, I wonder why things didn’t work out for the both of us.” Elsa said with a smile on her face, but the last few words caught Jason off-guard, as he wasn’t really prepared to hear them.

“What? What, Jason? You used to be all over me back then, and all of a sudden you stopped a few weeks before we left school, only for me to hear that you had gotten married, I felt heartbroken.”
