Coincidental

Jason looked at Brenda for a while, unable to find the right response to give to him. At that moment, he became a bit nervous, and couldn’t even deny everything she said.

“Where are you coming from, Jay? Who were you with?” Brenda’s curiosity lingered, and even though she looked at the cradle to be sure that Henry hadn't wake up, she still returned her inquisitive stare to Jason who took in a deep breath which he let out slowly in an attempt to get a grip on himself.

“I promise you, it’s not what you think.”

“But I didn’t say anything, Jay. Did I? Huh?”

“No, Brenda,” Jason said calmly while Brenda continued giving him a deep stare with her eyebrows lifted to form a furrow.

“Okay, here is the thing.” Jason grabbed her hand, and even when she dragged it away, he grabbed it again and held onto it with a tighter grip.
