Brenda adjusted herself almost immediately, and when she was certain that she was comfortable on the couch, she cleared her throat before she spoke with a whisper.

“You do?” She asked, and Jason nodded with a smile on his face.

“Yes, Brenda.” Jason resounded after a few seconds, discarding the silence that was accompanied by a deep stare from Brenda who chuckled afterward.

“That’s nice, that’s really good to hear.” She said with a whisper, and then she bent her face to the ground, avoiding the eyes of Jason who looked at her with excitement.

“Brenda?” Jason lifted her face gently and looked her in the eyes while she blinked with her mouth agape without even realizing it.

“I know that this might be leading to something really beautiful, but I want us to take it one step at a time. You know that I just got out of a rough marriage with my ex-wife, and I also have a son whom I wouldn't want to impose on you. Being a mother can be really tough…”
