Extreme Measure

“What the hell are you talking about Jason? I can’t heat anything.” Isabella retorted with a smirk on her face, the feeling of guilt pricked her entire conscience.

Offended by her words, Jason clenched his fists and breathed fury.

“Are you trying to insinuate that I am crazy? Do I look like a child?”

“Maybe,” Sarah said with a mocking expression.

“No one heard anything except you Jason, I suggest you go check yourself in the hospital, that’s if you can afford the bills.”

“Don’t worry dear, I will help him, I think I can spare a few dollars for his sake, even though he clearly doesn't deserve it,” Philip said in response to Isabella’s utterance.

Jason ignored them and listened again, placing his left ear closer to the door as the sound he heard suddenly disappeared.

“Did you hear anything?” Isabella questioned, her confidence rising all of a sudden.

“It is very obvious that he didn’t hear anything Bella, can’t you see the way he is looking so confused.” Sarah retorted
