Jason wanted to make a move to free himself from the grip of the man behind him, but the sight of the dagger pressed against his neck made him not to.

“Don’t try to play hero, boy! This will only end badly for you!” Julian warned Bruce who had already pointed his gun at him, ready to shoot, but Julian was clever enough to hide every part of his body behind Jason, making it very difficult for him to aim.

“You are making a very terrible mistake, Julian! We can settle this amicably, not this way!” Lord Walker said with a voice laced with a little distress. At that moment, the fear of losing Jason gripped him completely, and he took interval glances at him, feeling terrible for putting him in harm’s way.

“Julian? Let my Grandson go! Let him go!”

“Never, Pops! I am not going to do that! I am going to kill him, and he will die just like his stupid father! Everything will be mine! The houses! The cars! All the money! All of it!” Julian dragged Jason backward, while he continued holdin

Following the sound of the deafening bang that erupted from a distance not far away from where Jason was standing, Julian fell down at once, and dropped the dagger on the floor, letting go of Jason who gasped at once, relieved that he was able to breathe normally. “Young Master? Are you okay?” Harry said anxiously, running toward Jason who placed his left hand on his neck, and touched some of the blood on the cut. He looked at his hand afterward and saw that the blood wasn’t much. “Are you okay?” “I am fine, Harry. Is it bad?” Jason gestured to the injury on his neck while Harry looked at the injury for a few seconds before he shook in head. “It’s not that bad, but we will get it treated,” Harry said calmly, and then he looked at Julian who was sprawled on the floor with his eyes tightly shut. “Julian? Julian?” Lord Walker voiced out as he staggered toward his son who didn’t make any move no matter how hard he tried to call out to him. Bruce saw that he was struggling to wal

An hour close to the close of work, Jason dressed up in a nice black suit with lovely brown shoes to match. He wore the most expensive Hublot wristwatches in his collection and applied a nice cologne. He grabbed everything he needed, and then he headed out of his room with his evergreen smile intact. The thoughts of the revelation Julian made about killing his father wanted to make him feel really bad, but he had spent the previous hours getting over it, and decided to worry less since it wasn’t going to change anything, but that didn’t mean he wasn’t going to get justice. Hallway to the elevator, he saw Harry walking out of Lord Walker’s room with a tray containing an empty teacup and saucer. “Harry? You are back?” “Yes, Young Master. I came back about an hour ago, but it seemed like you were taking a nap.”“Oh, yes. I decided to take some rest before going to my meeting with the employees in the company.” Jason sighed just before he noticed that the empty cup on the tray wa

Jason waited patiently for Meredith to approach while he wondered what she was doing there, knowing fully that she didn't work there, and didn’t have any qualifications for that to the best of his knowledge. “Meredith? What are you doing here?” Jason asked calmly as soon as Meredith stood in front of him. His eyes went to the basket she was carrying, and he saw that there was a bottle of wine, some fruits, and cupcakes inside it. “I should be the one asking you what you are doing here, Jason. Dressed like that…” Meredith gave Jason a look of disdain while he stood calmly with his evergreen smile intact. “I don’t know where you got this fancy suit from, but I think this is the only time I have ever seen you look decent. You have always been a shabby-looking pauper, Jason.” Meredith scoffed, but Jason decided to ignore her peskiness.“You still haven’t told me why you are here, Meredith, and with all the things in that basket. Is there a fest or something?”“And how is that any

Jason was satisfied with everything he heard from the two Managers of the company. He heaved a heavy sigh of relief, and then he pushed the door slowly, opening it wider before he looked at Declan who looked at his direction as soon as he saw him walking in. Xena looked as well, and as soon as she saw Jason walking in with James right behind him, she glared at them from hair to toe. She tried to recall where she had seen Jason, but because he was looking different, she found it a little difficult until he was very close to her. “Hello, Mr. Coleman!” Jason greeted the Manager who observed his face for a while before he was able to recognize him. “Mr. Caruso? Is that you?” Declan said with his brows forming arches while he looked at Jason with so much surprise on his face. He looked at James who was standing behind Jason, and thoughts of who he was ran through his mind in a flash. “Hello, Miss Hunt.” Jason waved at Xena with a smile on his face, and that was when she was able

Again, Declan was flabbergasted after listening to the words he heard from the young man seated in front of him. His heartbeat increased each time he looked at the face of Jason who didn’t look like he was joking, and even when he looked at the guard standing behind him, he didn’t find any of their faces soothing. “Who amongst you is the new CEO of this company?” Declan said with a shaky tone, and then he swallowed hard saliva while struggling to maintain eye contact with Jason who chuckled as soon as he asked the question. “Who do you think, Mr. Coleman?” Jason said calmly, and then he turned to look at James for a few seconds before returning his gaze to Declan. “Do you think he is the new CEO? Or do you think I am he?” Jason lifted his eyebrows while he waited to get a response from the Manager who looked at him for a while and then looked at James who made no move even with the way he was looking at him. “The new CEO’s name is Jack Walker, he is the Grandson of Lord Walker

Gradually, the tension in the room began to reduce, and the Manager was able to breathe normally without having to sigh in order to get relief. “I need you to summon everyone whose position is very relevant in this company. I want to see the Assistant Manager, the Supervisor, the Assistant Supervisor, the Account Officer, the Human Resource Manager, the Marketing Manager, and any other person whose position puts him or her at the helm of affairs.” “Understood, Young Master! I will do that right away! I have already told everyone about the meeting, I will just forward am email to them, telling them to all gather at the conference room immediately.” “Good, I like that!” Jason nodded in satisfaction while Declan leaned forward to his computer and sent the email at once without taking his eyes off the monitor until he was certain that the email had gone through. “Sent! I have sent the notification, Young Master! They should be on their way to the conference room now.”“Excellent,

Xena and her cousin Liam were more apprehensive than any other person in the room. They looked at each other, and at that moment, it dawned on them that they had gotten into a deep mess. “Welcome, Mr. Walker! It’s a pleasure getting to meet you!” “You are welcome, Young Master! We are pleased to finally have you in our midst!”The pleasant comments continued coming from everyone in the company except Xena and her cousin Liam who were utterly dumbfounded. They could barely keep their eyes on Jason even for a few seconds, and they couldn’t get rid of the panic that surged into their nerves. “Thank you so much for your kind words!” Jason said calmly, looking at the rest of the staff members who had pleasant smiles on their faces. He paused for a few seconds, and then he continued with a more audible tone. “This meeting is meant to last for less than an hour, and I intend to be as brief as possible. Liam struggled with both his breath and his heartbeat. He could see the looks on the faces of some of the other employees in the company who evidently detested him and his cousin for their arrogance and disrespect. “Mr. Coleman? I think these two deserve to be dealt with accordingly. You know what to do.” Jason said to the Manager who pulled out his phone at once and made a quick call. No one heard what he said because he stepped aside and faced the wall. He returned his phone to his pocket and walked back to his previous position while Jason continued going through the files in the folder. “From the record I have here, over three million dollars have been unaccounted for and these transactions were sanctioned with the help of the Assistant Manager who was part of her cousin’s antics to steal the company’s money.” Jason paused as soon as he heard the sound of footsteps walking into the conference room.He turned slowly toward the direction of the door, and when he saw the five

  • Marry me

It had been a month since Julius was brought out of prison, and everything was going as everyone had hoped for. He had been of good conduct, keeping to the conditions that were given to him by Jason. But that didn’t mean that any chances could be taken with him. His reputation as a notorious criminal who had claimed lives made it quite difficult to trust him. The fact that he had been exonerated from the guilt of his actions was too much grade for him, and it would have been foolish of him to let it go to waste. He had spent the entire month begging for Shirley’s forgiveness, but she kept her distance, maintaining a mutual relationship with him which was based on the fact that they had a child together. Xavier on the other hand was old enough to understand that sometimes things don’t always go the way we want them. Even though he wished that his parents could be together someday, he also knew that his mother was only trying to be safe. She didn’t want to have to repeat the sam

Days turned to weeks, and then to a month. Jason fulfilled his promise to Xavier and made sure he went to one of the best schools in the city. He knew that the boy still thought about his father even though he stopped talking about him, probably because his mind was occupied with school assignments, and some of the things Jason got him involved in just to make sure he stayed away from silly acts. Seated with Lord Walker, Jason waited patiently for the old man to speak, aware of what was about to be heard. “Jack?” Lord Walker leaned forward before he continued. “I know that Julius isn’t particularly the best Uncle in the entire world, but he is still family. I know that this is a very difficult decision for you to make. But you have to do this for the sake of the boy…” Lord Walker paused for a few seconds just to be certain that Jason was listening to him. He sighed softly and continued with a more audible tone. “Keeping him there way cause be painful for the boy even thoug

  • Reunion

Standing in front of Jason was Clark, the same best friend who turned out to be one of his enemies. He had lost his charm and confidence and almost looked like a better. He couldn’t even look at Jason for more than a few seconds before he bent his face to the ground in shame. It appeared that his outfit was oversized, but that was only proof that he had lost a lot of weight. “Why are you here, Clark? I am sure you didn’t just come to stare at me.” Jason broke the silence between them, staring at Clark with a smirk on his face. Brenda would have asked a few questions, but as soon as Jason mentioned the name of the man standing in front of them, she remembered some of the stories he told him about how his best friend betrayed him and went after his wife. She was only interested to know why Clark was there. “I am here to ask for your forgiveness, Jason. I also want to appreciate you for getting me out of jail.” Clark managed to say with a shaky tone. He couldn’t even look at Ja

It had been three days since Xavier and his mother pleaded that Julius be set free but nothing had been done about it. Jason was taking his time to make a decision about his step-uncle’s fate. It seemed like it was going to take more time before he could be able to come t a conclusion. Lord Walker himself was wondering why Jason had not said anything about it, but he also knew that he was worried about his safety. After seeing and hearing what Julius was capable of, Jason had no other option than to keep the decision pending until he was done with some of the plans he had in mind. First, he enrolled Xavier in high school. He attended one of the best schools in Granada Hills, and the goal was to make sure that the young man didn’t need up on the streets ever again. Shirley on the other hand was going through a rehabilitation process. She was made to speak to someone and undergo struct measures of check which were often conducted to make sure she didn’t go back to her old habi

The next day, it was finally time to bring back Lord Walker from the hospital after his recovery. Jason went together with the Butler, Brenda, and Xavier who insisted that he was going to go with them. Not only was he eager to see his mother, but he also wanted to see his Grandfather who almost sacrificed himself for his sake. By the time they arrived at the hospital, the old man was already seated on the bed while one of the nurses attending to him handed him over his drugs and a glass of water. “Thank you, my dear.” He said to the nurse as soon as he was done with his medication while he handed over the empty glass to her. He turned to his visitors and the brightness of his face increased at once, causing him to gesture to them at once. “I know what you are about to say, Jack…” He shook his head, but that wasn’t going to stop Jason from expressing himself. “That was really silly, Grandpa! You almost got yourself killed!” Jason walked up to the old man ahead of the other

  • Retribution

Xavier hesitated for a while, but he eventually mustered the guts to move. “Go ahead.” Jason urged him as soon as he took the first steps, and he continued moving, eyes on his father who was shocked to see him. Julius could tell that Xavier was truly his son, he didn’t think he needed any DNA to prove that. The resemblance was alarming, and the fact that the boy reminded him of himself when he was about the same age was enough. But he didn’t seem like he was the proudest father at that moment. He was glad that he had been given the opportunity to see his son, but he was equally ashamed of himself. Unable to get closer to the iron bars, he stood where he was, waiting patiently for Xavier to get closer to him. The boy stood in front of his father, staring at him without knowing what exactly he was supposed to say at that moment. The reunion wasn’t as pleasant as he had expected it to be. Father and son remained for over a minute, but their eyes said a lot to each other while

With their panic rising, Jason and Brenda paced along the hallway, waiting for anyone to come out of the theater. It had gotten so long that Jason had to send for Cara who came along with some guards to take Henry back to the Villa while they continued waiting anxiously. Eventually, the Doctor came out of the theater dripping with sweatballs that ran down his face. “Doctor?! What’s going on?” Jason asked anxiously, but instead of giving him a response, the Doctor moved to Brenda and whispered some words into her ear, making sure that Jason wasn’t going to hear their conversation. Brenda responded with a whisper as well before the Doctor nodded and hurried back to the theater without saying a word to Jason whom he only stared at while he expected him to say something. “Why didn’t he say anything to me?! What did he say, babe? Talk to me!” Jason moved closer to Brenda who looked like she didn’t know how to tell him what the Doctor whispered into her ear. “Brenda?” Jason call

Brenda was silent for a while, but Jason was patient enough to wait for a response to his question. Firstly, she grabbed Henry from Jason and made sure he was sitting comfortably on her legs. She took in a deep breath which she let out slowly before she turned to look at Jason. “I am listening, Brenda. What were you guys discussing back there?”“Nothing really. Just girls’ talk.” “Okay?” Jason featured with both hands, indicating that he wanted to hear more details about their discussion. “I thought you said you were not so much interested in her, Jay. Why bothering to ask what we were discussing?”“Me? When did I say that?”“Well, you implied it.” Brenda shrugged, looking at Jason with a smirk on her face. “Just tell me what you guys were talking about back there, Brenda. She could have said something that needs to be verified by me. No other person knows her like I do.” Jason insisted. “Okay, fine.” Brenda sighed. “I was just worried about the way she looked, that’s

  • Motherhood

The sight of his ex-wife made Jason sigh, his previous countenance gave way for a frown that appeared as he stared at Isabella who managed to push the two guards aside because they let her do so. But they went after her and grabbed her at once, restraining her efforts to get close to Jason or her son. “Jason! Tell them to let me go! Let me go! Let me go!” Isabella continued to struggle with the guards, but she eventually got tired, panting in exhaustion while Jason and Brenda watched her with a little surprised written all over their faces. Henry recognized his biological mother, but it didn’t look like he was really concerned or excited to see her. He just stared at her as though he was trying to recall where he met her. “Tell them to let me go, Jason! Please.” Isabella pleaded, but Jason wasn’t really interested in the words that she uttered. What made him curious was the fact that she looked very unkempt and malnourished. It had been a few weeks since he last saw her, and h
