Irked

The next morning, as early as the first flicker of dawn, Jason got up from the bed, stretched himself, and then walked into the bathroom to freshen up.

A few minutes later, he came out of the bathroom and put on his clothes, the thoughts of his desire for the day kept going through his mind, as he inserted the last button of his sleeve into the hole.

Adjusting his collar, Jason sighed heavily, and then he walked out of the cabin, slamming the door behind him.

He headed straight to the Palmer residence, walking with slow but steady steps.

“That reminds me,” he said halfway to the mansion, and then he stopped, pulled out his phone from his pocket, and then dialed Harry’s number.

“Hello, Harry,” he said, immediately he heard the man’s voice from the other end of the line.

“Good day to you too, Harry. How is the old man?”

When he heard the response from Harry, Jason’s smile gradually started to disappear, amidst the worry that crept into his body.

“How bad is it?” He asked
