The Rising Phoenix: Devisee’s escapade. Found
“What is it?” Jason asked at once, and then he began to walk toward Harry with so much eagerness to hear what he had to say, seeing the smile on his face. “They found it,” Harry said excitedly, causing Jason to gasp. “The antidote?” “Yes, Young Master. They found it.” Harry nodded with his smile intact.“Lovely! This is the best news I have had in a long time!” “Yes, Young Master. They should be on their way home soon.” “Good! This is great news! Thank you so much, Harry. I have you to thank for this.” “No, Young Master. It was all you, you did everything.” “But you assisted me. That was something too.” Harry nodded with his smile intact. “Come on, Harry! I have to break the news to the old man. I know he may not be able to hear me, but I still have to tell him.” Jason went into the building at once, and Harry followed immediately. They went into the elevator which took them to the first floor, and as soon as the doors opened, Jason walled out hurriedly and walked

Jason continued sleeping until about two hours later when he suddenly opened his eyes and lifted his head from the pillow. Slowly, he pushed himself off the bed, and placed his two legs on the ground, blinking severally to get rid of the blur in his vision. He rubbed his eyes with both hands to help out, and when he was certain that he had gotten a grip on himself, he stood up from the bed, and walked into the bathroom, yawning just before he went in. He took a leak and walked out of the bathroom after he had washed his face, and wiped it with a neat towel. He went back to the bed and sat down slowly, and then he pulled out his phone from his pocket and dialed a number before he placed the phone on his right ear. “Yes, Hello. Kelvin. How are you?” He said as soon as he heard the male voice from the other end of the line. “Good. I hope this is a good time to call. I know you might be busy with your family.” Jason said a few seconds later, and then he listened to what he was g

Kelvin got out of the car and slammed the door, while Jason continued to look at him until he went back into the building. He sighed heavily, and then he turned on the ignition of the car and drove off, increasing the speed of the vehicle after each minute. Luckily, the distance from the place where he met Kelvin and back to the villa was not much, and in less than a minute, he was in front of the building where he parked the car, and got down almost immediately. When he got down, he looked toward the entrance of the building, and apart from the guards who were standing at strategic points outside the house, Harry also stood directly in front of the entrance to the building, and it looked like he was waiting for someone. “Young Master, I was surprised when I was told that you went out,” Harry said while Jason was still walking toward him with a plain countenance. “Oh, yes. I had to deal with something real quick.” Jason said a few seconds later after he stood a few inches aw

As soon as Jason got out of the car, he scoured through the ambiance of the area, and he could see that some changes had been made. The grasses that were sprouting from several parts of the floor were out, and all the things littered all over the place had been taken off. Jason nodded in satisfaction, and then he turned his eyes to the building. He saw that it had been repainted, and a few other touches and nice additions had been made to it. “Lovely, really lovely.” He said with a whisper, admiring the flowers in huge vases that were positioned at several corners in front of the building. A few seconds later, he looked to his right as soon as he sensed that someone was approaching. “What do you think about it, Young Master?” Harry asked as soon as he stood in front of him, and waited to hear what he was going to say. Jason turned to look at the building again, and then he sighed heavily with a smile on his face, just before he returned his gaze to Harry. “I love it, you d

As soon as he said those words, Jason turned to look at Harry was seemed very impatient and pissed off at the fact that the men had refused to speak. “Well, Harry. What do you think?” Jason asked with a calm tone. “I think they need some motivation, and I can arrange for that,” Harry responded, and then he glared his eyes at the men, looking at them one after the other. “Very well then. I think we should get right to it.” Jason said with a smirk on his face, and without waiting for even a second, Harry grabbed the man by the left by his collar and punched him hard in the face. “Ahh! My nose! You broke my nose!” The man whimpered and attempted to hold his nose, but Harry gave him a heavy slap that sent him sprawling to the ground. Jason widened his eyes in surprise, and couldn’t believe that Harry did that. He thought he was going to ask one of the bodyguards to torture the men, but clearly, he had it all covered. The ride home was shorter than when they were on their way to their last location, and as soon as they arrived back at the villa, Jason got out of the car without waiting for the guard to open the door for him. He stared at the tall mansion for a few seconds, and then he sighed heavily before he turned to look at the car Harry had gotten into while they were returning to the Villa. Realizing that he was waiting for him, Harry quickly walked up to Jason and stood a few inches away from him. “Harry? What do you think?” Jason said without turning to look at him, while his eyes remained on the mansion. “I think you should get some rest tonight, Young Master. You really have had a stressful day.” Jason turned to look at Harry, and then he chuckled at his words, but Harry didn’t seem like he was joking as he maintained a face lacking any form of expression. “I get it, okay? But this is very important, and you know it. This…this Mr. D? I just want to know who he is.” “And you w

Jason looked around the room and the first thing that caught his attention was the picture of his parents hanging on the wall at the right corner of the room. He quickly moved closer to it and looked at it for over a minute. His parents were very much younger when they took the picture, and he could see the striking resemblance between him and his father, he looked like it was he who took the picture with another lady. “Beautiful eyes.” He said with a whisper, and then he touched the picture and sighed heavily without taking his eyes away from it. When he was satisfied, he turned away slowly and looked at the rest of the corners of the room. In front of him was a shelf filled with so many books, and he couldn’t help but move toward it to see the books inside it. He grabbed one of the books that drew his attention, and then he blew on it to take off the dust that was all over it. He remembered how he loved reading books and had to stop after he got married to Isabella and his

Jason was woken up the next morning by the thoughts that lingered in his mind. It was very early, and only the birds were awake by that time, but he was already up, and thinking about all the situations surrounding him. For about an hour, he didn’t know which one of them he was to be focused on, and he quickly went into the bathroom to wash his face after brushing his teeth. He got out as soon as he was done and sat in the chair next to the desk by the corner of the bedroom after he had picked up his phone from the cabinet. “What do I do now?” He said as though he was asking some other person in the room, but his mind remained empty for a while. He continued thinking for a while, and when he eventually had an idea that he really wasn't sure of, he picked up his phone and called the Doctor. “I hope this works, I hope it does.” He whispered to himself while he waited for the Doctor to take his call. “Hello, Mr. Caryso! I was just about to call you!” “Hello, Doctor. Good mo

The waitress discovered that two men were walking toward her, and adjusting herself with a welcoming smile on her face, she greeted them warmly. “Hello, Sir. Welcome to Joe’s Café. Do you need anything?” “Yes. Hello. We are looking for a lady called Shirley. I was told she works here.” Jason said with a smile as well, looking at the waitress whose countenance showed that she didn’t know who he was talking about. “Shirley? I don’t think I know any Shirley who works here, Sir. I am new here, but I can get you someone who could know.” “Yes, please! Thank you so much.” Harry said calmly, gesturing to the waitress who nodded before walking away, holding onto the small notepad and pen she had in her hands. “I really hope this ends well,” Jason said with a whisper, sighing firstly while he kept his eyes on the path the waitress took. Bring Him Home
For a few seconds, Jason remained silent, but it didn’t seem like that was going to solve anything. The old man was still waiting to get a response from him, and Harry was interested to know the outcome of their meeting as well. Adjusting himself to get a more comfortable posture, Jason cleared his throat and sighed before he spoke with a voice that almost sounded like a whisper. “He has a son.” He said calmly, but his words were too heavy for the other men in the room to remain as calm as he was. Lord Walker knew Jason to be a man who didn’t joke with such things but for a second, he remained calm, hoping that he was going to say he was joking. Maybe he meant to say something else. “A son?” “Yes, Grandpa. He has a son.” “Julius has a son?” Lord Walker leaned forward, and grabbed the half-empty glass of water which he consumed before returning it to the table. “Are you okay, Lord Walker?” Harry asked, moving closer to the old man who raised his hands to stop him from g

The rays from the sunlight were shining brightly through the casement windows inside the bedroom. The curtains were half closed, giving way to the rays that hit Brenda’s eyes while she groaned in her sleep. As though there was a force, she opened her eyes instantly, only to behold the sight of shirtless Jason sitting close to her with a tray in both hands. “Wakie wakie! I was worried that too were not going to wake up on time to see this.” Jason had a beautiful smile on his face while he looked at Brenda who adjusted herself slowly, sitting up while she looked at the tray he was carrying. “What’s that?” “Oh! This? I made you breakfast! I had to wake up early just to make sure that everything worked as I planned. Here…” Jason opened the dish cover to reveal the egg and sausages on the plate next to a cup of black coffee. “I tried making the coffee just like you do. I hope I tried.” Jason handed the cup of coffee to Brenda who blew on the coffee before taking a sip. “Easy! I

Special Announcement
While everyone sat comfortably, eating and drinking everything that had been set on the table, Jason picked up the glass of wine in front of him, and after looking at his Grandfather and getting the signal from him, he nodded before lifting the glass. “I have a special announcement!” He hit his fork on the brim of the glass, drawing the attention of everyone seated at the table who instantly put a hold t what they were doing, and paid keen attention to him. Everyone seemed curious to know what he was about to say except the old man who was already done eating his veggies and wiped his lips with a napkin while he maintaining a grin on his face. “First of all, I want to thank Harry for bringing his lovely family to dinner. It’s such a pleasure to have you all here. Family is everything, family is life, and I am happy that he has such a beautiful family.” Jason lifted the glass toward Harry who bowed gently, still wondering what he was up to. “Harry here has been working with thi

Jason was the first to step out of the hot tub before Brenda joined him. Handing over one of the two towels he grabbed to her, he gave her a lovely smile which made her blush while she grabbed the towel, and wrapped her body with it. “You are still staring.” Brenda said with her smile intact, but Jason couldn’t take his eyes away from her, not even for a second. “What am I going to ever do without you? You have brought me so much joy, Brenda.” “Nothing, Jay. You are going to do nothing.” Brenda chuckled while Jason nodded without getting rid of his smile. “You are right. Absolutely nothing, that’s what I am going to do if I ever lose you.” “Well, I am not leaving anytime soon. I am here with you, my love.” Brenda patted Jason on both cheeks before she turned and walked toward the bedroom, holding onto her towel with both hands. “We must hurry, Jay! Price to Pay
For a few seconds Jason was silent while he exchanged glances with the couple, not sure of who he was to face. It was obvious that they were expecting to hear him speak, but the silence in the room was killing them, having more effect on Lucas who couldn’t forget the words he said to him. He was afraid that the day of reckoning had come, and it was time to pay for all his crimes. Still unable to stop himself from finger mg, especially at the sight of Ramon who gave him threatening looks, Lucas decided to grab his bottle, hoping to get back some of his composure from a gulp. “What’s that?” Jason’s calm words stopped Lucas from grabbing the bottle from the ground, causing him to remain still while he lifted his face slowly to look at him, patches of guilt all over his face. “I can’t believe this.” Jason scoffs. “You really want to drink right now. You have really drowned yourself in so much alcohol. I bet you dream of drinking while you sleep.” Jason sighed softly, and remain

Everyone remained silent amidst the tension that surrounded the air. While Lucas kept his eyes on Jason who remained still with a smirk on his face, he struggled with the contemplation of either remaining where he was standing, or moving backward. For a second, he took two steps backward, but because it felt as though his body no longer belonged to him, he couldn’t move afterward. “Hello… Dad. I see you haven’t left your old habits.” Jason pointed at the bottle of whiskey which Lucas tightly held onto even in the midst of the cringe that engulfed him. “It’s you.” Lucas’ voice was shaky. And while he held onto the half-empty bottle, he gently lifted it up to look at it, filled with thoughts of his numerous drinking adventures. It was true that he was intoxicated at that moment, but the sight of Jason and his companions made the effects of the whiskey wear off at once, leaving him to struggle with the situation. “I am just going to let myself in. Excuse me…” Jason gestured to

Hello, Mother
“You know you don’t have to come with me, right? It’s not like he is going to beat me just like he did several years ago.” Jason said to Brenda who was helping him out with his jacket. The news on the internet was getting a lot of attention from even different countries, and knowing that it wasn’t going to die down if he didn’t do anything about it, Jason decided to pay his foster parents a visit that night, discarding his initial plans to go see them the next day. “You are not going to be able to talk me out of this, Jay. I suggest you quit your attempts and allow me to come with you. Trust me, you are going to need me to support you, and I will always be by your side, Jay. No matter what.” Brenda’s words were helpful at that moment, and a bright smile appeared on Jason’s face, taking over his worried expression. “Thank you. I am glad you are coming with me, Brenda.” “Good. That’s all I needed you to say.” “But you have to go to work tomorrow, and I know how much you love

As soon as he got the call from Brenda, Jason stepped out of the mansion and moved into the car. He drove to the hospital at once, and a few minutes after he parked the car, Brenda walked out of the building with her handbag carefully held with both hands. “Are you okay?” Jason asked, still staring at her even when she got into the car and slammed the door. “Yeah. Why?”“Nothing, love. I just wasn’t expecting that you would call me to come pick you up this early. It’s only been a few hours.” Jason looked at his Hublot wristwatch to ascertain that it wasn’t close to closing time yet. “Yeah…” Brenda grunted slowly, and after letting out the air she inhaled, she continued with a low tone. “I have just been feeling very tired lately, Jay. Even the patients I attended to noticed the difference. I think I will just rest today, probably by tomorrow I should be fine.” “Are you sure? Maybe we should go on a vacation or something. We should go…” Jason suggested, but Brenda shook her
