The Rising Phoenix: Devisee’s escapade. To save
While he went on his way out of his office, and toward the elevator, Jason picked up his phone and dialed a number, placing it on his right ear while he sauntered through the hallway that led to the elevator. “Hello, Lisa. How are you?” “Hi? Who is this?” Came the weak female tone from the other end of the line while Jason sighed before responding. “It’s me! Jason Caruso!”“You finally called, Jason! You called!” Lisa said with a lot of excitement in her voice while Jason chuckled softly before he continued.“Of course! I told you I was going to call, didn’t I? I will never forget all the things you did for me back then, Lisa Mascot.”“Oh, come on! I was only trying to be a good friend.” “Trust me, Lisa. I have seen friends who are not good friends. You gave me food to eat even when I never asked, that’s what good people do, not just good friends, and I am grateful to you.” “I am glad you still remember, Jason…” Lisa sighed in despair, and Jason felt the tension from her
The Rising Phoenix: Devisee’s escapade. Medical Council
Lisa could remember everything Jason told her when he was working in the hospital, and looking at him, she could see the anger that he tried to hide, boiling inside him with an intense rage. In order to get a grip on himself, Jason took in a very deep breath, and slowly he exhaled all of it, struggling to maintain a smile on his face even though it really didn’t show the actual way he felt inside. “Hello, Miss Mascot. I was told that you haven’t made any deposit just like you promised.” The Doctor said as soon as he stopped in front of Lisa who bent her face slowly, avoiding his glaring eyes. “I am sorry, Doctor. Things didn’t go as I planned, but I promise to make payments as soon as I can. I just need some more time.” “That’s the problem, Miss Mascot! We don’t have time! It’s either you make the payment or we would have to find other means to get it. Your father will remain here with us until you do so.” The Doctor threatened, ignoring Jason who had his eyes on him the whole
The Rising Phoenix: Devisee’s escapade. License Revoked
The sight of the Head of the Medical Council shocked Doctor Bruno beyond every form of imagination, and while his mouth was still agape, he withdrew his gaze from her and turned to look at Jason who waved at him with a smirk on his face. Seeing the sight of Mrs. Gilbert, even the nurses froze and adjusted their clothes, making sure that everything on the counter was properly arranged to avoid any form of query from her. “Mr. Sheldon?” Mrs. Gilbert called out to him again, and he turned anxiously to look at him, lacking the right words to say. “You have violated three medical codes, and your license will be revoked pending when we are done carrying out our investigation. You shall be escorted out of this Hospital with immediate effect, and a new Doctor assigned to take your place.”“No! You can’t do that! I have been a medical Doctor for twenty-seven years! You can’t just come here and tell me that my license will be revoked without hearing from me! I am a senior Doctor! A renow
The Rising Phoenix: Devisee’s escapade. Draft a Proposal
Jason had his eyes fixed on the Doctor while he attended to Lisa’s father. Lisa was nervous, but the fact that Jason had come to the rescue of her father’s situation gave her great reassurance. A few minutes later, the Doctor sent for a nurse making use of the telephone on the table beside her, and in less than a minute, one of the nurses appeared with a tray in her hands. Jason turned slowly and discovered that the nurse was the same one who he knew three years earlier when he worked in the Hospital as a janitor. She completely avoided looking at him, and carried the tray to the Doctor. “It’s funny how the two of you are acting so innocent even after all you did to me.” Jason broke the silence in the room as soon as the Doctor was done with Lisa’s father. Slowly, Doctor Felix turned to look at him, not sure if he was really referring to him. The nurse on the other hand was certain that Jason was talking to both of them and even though she turned to look at him, she was unable

Jason stood in front of the house, his eyes gazing upon the sky while the afternoon rays of sunlight hit his skin, almost causing it to glitter. His mind was occupied with several thoughts, but he was determined to carry out all the plans he wished to accomplish. Slowly, he took in a deep breath, and as soon as he let it out, Harry walked up to him, causing him to turn instantly to look at him until he stood right beside him, a deadpan expression on his face. “Everything is in motion, Young Master. The Shipment should arrive in the next few hours, and they will be taken to the location at once.” “Good, Harry. That’s good…” Jason nodded in satisfaction and after a few seconds of pausing, he continued with a voice a little above a whisper. “I need you to make sure that my Grandfather is well-protected while I am away, Harry. This entire Villa should be guarded with as many men as possible. Henry will be here with Brenda, and they should be protected as well.” “I already have

Finally, it was time for the shipments to arrive, and the anticipation in the air was higher than it had ever been both for the two parties. Jason was clad in one of his very expensive black suites, complimented with a classic Tom Ford brown shoe, and a Richer Miller wristwatch. His cologne went before him, and also remained a few minutes even after he was gone. “You look very beautiful in that dress, my baby.” He said with a pleasant smile, looking at Brenda who walked out of the room, dressed in a white gown that that had beautiful pebbles embroidered all around it. A nice diamond necklace was hanging around her neck, and her hills were impeccably dazzling. “Thanks, Jay! I never knew you had such an amazing taste for quality and beautiful things.” Brenda retorted at once, chuckling with a blush. “Ah! You have to get used to it, my darling! See, I know luxury more than you think, and for you, I will do anything in the world just to make sure that you are ever-glowing. You have

The entire hall was thrown into a period of shock. First, it was a long silence, followed by whisperings, and then the recognition by some of those who knew Jason. “Is that?…” Lady Alice Palmer couldn’t finish her words. Seated at one of the long tables in the hall, she turned to look at her son Morgan who was seated beside her, but when he didn’t seem like he was ready to say anything, she turned to look at Isabella who she was certain was going to be able to recognize her ex-husband just in case her eyes were deceiving her. “That’s Jason!” Isabella confirmed before her Grandmother could open her mouth to ask her. “What the hell is he doing here? And why is Philip kneeling before him?” She added, standing up slowly from her seat to have a better look. “Maybe he is one of the guards who are here with Mr. Walker.” Jacob her cousin stated, and Andrew nodded to support him even though he had several doubts running through his mind, especially with the fact that Jason stood out fr
The Rising Phoenix: Devisee’s escapade. Lock Away
While the Palmers were still arguing amongst themselves, Jason turned to look at Dalton and his cohorts who were seated at one of the round tables in the hall, staring at him with so many thoughts going through their minds. “To the man who killed my father. Of course, you are not going to be left out of the special packages going around. I have always been longing for this day when I can look you in the eyes, and watch you pay for what you did.” Jason grunted angrily, and then he took in a deep breath which he let out slowly before he continued. “I have your goods locked up somewhere safe, but the authorities have been informed of all your involvement. They should be here any moment from now.” Jason looked at the time on his wristwatch, and then at the entrance of the hall. “Aha! There they are!” He nodded in satisfaction as soon as he saw the ten policemen tripping into the hall with their guns in their hands. They marched straight to Dalton’s table and surrounded him and his c

Jason was the first to step out of the hot tub before Brenda joined him. Handing over one of the two towels he grabbed to her, he gave her a lovely smile which made her blush while she grabbed the towel, and wrapped her body with it. “You are still staring.” Brenda said with her smile intact, but Jason couldn’t take his eyes away from her, not even for a second. “What am I going to ever do without you? You have brought me so much joy, Brenda.” “Nothing, Jay. You are going to do nothing.” Brenda chuckled while Jason nodded without getting rid of his smile. “You are right. Absolutely nothing, that’s what I am going to do if I ever lose you.” “Well, I am not leaving anytime soon. I am here with you, my love.” Brenda patted Jason on both cheeks before she turned and walked toward the bedroom, holding onto her towel with both hands. “We must hurry, Jay! We are having guests, remember?”“Oh, right! I almost forgot about that!” Jason rushed into the room, and got dressed alongsi

Price to Pay
For a few seconds Jason was silent while he exchanged glances with the couple, not sure of who he was to face. It was obvious that they were expecting to hear him speak, but the silence in the room was killing them, having more effect on Lucas who couldn’t forget the words he said to him. He was afraid that the day of reckoning had come, and it was time to pay for all his crimes. Still unable to stop himself from finger mg, especially at the sight of Ramon who gave him threatening looks, Lucas decided to grab his bottle, hoping to get back some of his composure from a gulp. “What’s that?” Jason’s calm words stopped Lucas from grabbing the bottle from the ground, causing him to remain still while he lifted his face slowly to look at him, patches of guilt all over his face. “I can’t believe this.” Jason scoffs. “You really want to drink right now. You have really drowned yourself in so much alcohol. I bet you dream of drinking while you sleep.” Jason sighed softly, and remain

Everyone remained silent amidst the tension that surrounded the air. While Lucas kept his eyes on Jason who remained still with a smirk on his face, he struggled with the contemplation of either remaining where he was standing, or moving backward. For a second, he took two steps backward, but because it felt as though his body no longer belonged to him, he couldn’t move afterward. “Hello… Dad. I see you haven’t left your old habits.” Jason pointed at the bottle of whiskey which Lucas tightly held onto even in the midst of the cringe that engulfed him. “It’s you.” Lucas’ voice was shaky. And while he held onto the half-empty bottle, he gently lifted it up to look at it, filled with thoughts of his numerous drinking adventures. It was true that he was intoxicated at that moment, but the sight of Jason and his companions made the effects of the whiskey wear off at once, leaving him to struggle with the situation. “I am just going to let myself in. Excuse me…” Jason gestured to

Hello, Mother
“You know you don’t have to come with me, right? It’s not like he is going to beat me just like he did several years ago.” Jason said to Brenda who was helping him out with his jacket. The news on the internet was getting a lot of attention from even different countries, and knowing that it wasn’t going to die down if he didn’t do anything about it, Jason decided to pay his foster parents a visit that night, discarding his initial plans to go see them the next day. “You are not going to be able to talk me out of this, Jay. I suggest you quit your attempts and allow me to come with you. Trust me, you are going to need me to support you, and I will always be by your side, Jay. No matter what.” Brenda’s words were helpful at that moment, and a bright smile appeared on Jason’s face, taking over his worried expression. “Thank you. I am glad you are coming with me, Brenda.” “Good. That’s all I needed you to say.” “But you have to go to work tomorrow, and I know how much you love

Foster Ordeal
As soon as he got the call from Brenda, Jason stepped out of the mansion and moved into the car. He drove to the hospital at once, and a few minutes after he parked the car, Brenda walked out of the building with her handbag carefully held with both hands. “Are you okay?” Jason asked, still staring at her even when she got into the car and slammed the door. “Yeah. Why?”“Nothing, love. I just wasn’t expecting that you would call me to come pick you up this early. It’s only been a few hours.” Jason looked at his Hublot wristwatch to ascertain that it wasn’t close to closing time yet. “Yeah…” Brenda grunted slowly, and after letting out the air she inhaled, she continued with a low tone. “I have just been feeling very tired lately, Jay. Even the patients I attended to noticed the difference. I think I will just rest today, probably by tomorrow I should be fine.” “Are you sure? Maybe we should go on a vacation or something. We should go…” Jason suggested, but Brenda shook her

The Viral News
The Butler remained silent for over ten seconds, but the stillness made Jason’s anxiety linger while he approached him with a curious expression on his face. “Harry? Is my Grandfather okay? Where is Henry?”“Lord Walker is fine. Nothing has happened to Ed to your son.” “Okay? So why the long face? What’s going on?” Jason was relieved that his greatest fear was not the reason for the Butler’s worrisome look, but he still needed to know what was happening. “We might have a little problem, Young Master.” “Problem? Talk to me, Harry! You are not saying anything!” Jason became a little bit impatient, and while he waited for a response, he went through his mind at once, thinking if anything that may have been the reason for yeh words from the middle-aged man. “Your parents, Young Master. They are on the news.” Harry said calmly, but his words made Jason confused while he looked at him with a bemused expression. “What the hell are you talking about, Harry? My parents are dead, y

Desperate Plea
The words from Jason hit Julius like a thunderbolt, and he was forced to keep quiet even though he never intended to. For a few seconds the middle-aged man remained calm, eyes on Jason who was waiting to be certain that he wasn’t going to say any other thing. “Good…” Jason sighed softly, and then he cleared his throat before he continued with a smirk on his face. “Now that I have your attention, I think it would be nice for us to get straight to the reason why I am here.” He paused for a few seconds just to be sure that Julius was paying attention, and continued when he was satisfied with the look on his face. “It’s very obvious that you deserve to be locked up forever, and the key thrown into the ocean, but unfortunately, you are still family. Now, I wonder what I am going to do with you, Julius. Trust me, I want to grab your neck with both hands and strangle you, but Grandpa…” Jason paused suddenly, and a heavy sigh left him. “Did the old man send you? Is he unable to hand

Confinement
There were guards standing in front of the gigantic metal gate, heavily armed and ready to shoot any intruder at sight. Their eyes were everywhere, on the lookout as they stood at various corners in front of the gate. The sight of Jason’s car approaching made them readjust immediately, but they were eased as soon as they recognized him from afar as he wheeled slowly, and stopped right in front of the gate. “Young Master.” One of the guards who came forward bowed gently while Jason nodded in response. “Let me in.” “At once!” The guard turned instantly, and signaled to his partner who grabbed a walkie-talkie with which he communicated with someone from the inside of the vicinity of the building. The gates opened automatically as soon as the button to unlock it was pressed, and Jason drove in at once, looking around through the windows beside him. It was his first time in the military training camp, and even though he asked Harry to give him the address to the place, he

Standing in front of his room the next morning, Jason waited patiently, glad in a grey suit while he looked around the hallway as though he was expecting to see someone. His eyes eventually stopped at his Grandfather’s door while so many thoughts of contemplation ran through his mind. “I don’t think he will be happy if he finds out that I want to go there without him.” He whispered only to his hearing, and then he sighed softly before he was distracted by the sound of footsteps approaching from a distance in front of him. The Butler appeared after a few seconds and Jason cleared his throat while he signaled to him to walk toward him the moment he noticed he was walking toward Lord Walker’s room. “Good morning, Young Master. I didn’t realize that you were standing there.” Harry said as soon as he stopped in front of Jason who sighed at once. “Morning, Harry. How are the girls?”“They are fine, Young Master.
