The Doctor sighed heavily, getting ready to give a response to the question, while Jason braced himself to hear the response she was going to give.

“Four months, Sir. He has only four months.”

“What?” Jason said, and his jaw dropped, together with his breath, his eyes widened in disbelief, and his heart tried to escape from his chest.

“Yes, Sir. He barely has enough time to live, we really have to find the antidote if we want to keep him alive.”

Jason looked at his Grandfather and the tears he had managed to suppress for a long time left his glands and streamed down his face, causing him to sigh heavily, but not in relief.

“Everything is going to be okay, Sir. All we need to do is to find out who did this.” The Doctor said to Jason with a soft tone, hoping that she was going to be able to pacify him, but the young man standing before was very heartbroken, there was so much pain written on his face, and his eyes showed intense despair.

Harry quickly grabbed the doors and opened them for Jason, who walked out immediately, while he followed him behind, shutting the doors after himself. They walked down the staircase and then entered the lobby of the building through the door by the left. The workers were already waiting for them, dressed in their uniforms, with their hands behind them. As soon as they saw Harry with the meager-looking young man, they bowed their heads, but only for Harry, as they weren’t aware who Jason was. “Good day, Boss.” “Good Morning, Boss.” They greeted one after the other, but Harry said nothing in reply, he only continued walking until he got in front of them, and he stopped with Jason right beside him. “You may raise your heads,” Harry said, and at once they lifted their heads, wondering why they had been summoned, they also looked at Jason, wondering who he was. “Allow me to specially introduce you all to someone really important, someone who holds a special balance in this fa

Irene was hesitant to respond to the question, but after a few seconds, she turned around without looking at anybody in particular. “Me, Sir. Come forward.” Jason said, and the man stepped forward immediately and stood beside Irene. They exchanged glances at each other, and it was really easy to tell that there was a rivalry between them. “What’s your name, Young man?” “Joe, Sir. My name is Joe,” he responded with a very audible tone, lifting his head to look at Jason for a few seconds, before returning it to its previous position. “Well, Joe, how long have you been cooking here?” Joe sighed heavily, and then he looked at Irene whose face was bent to the ground, before giving an answer to the question. “Three years and four months, Sir.” Jason nodded with a smile on his face, having understood what was really going on between them. “I see, t

He continued, for over thirty minutes, until Irene returned with a large tray containing a plate covered with a dish cover.“Aha! They promised to kill him if I didn’t do as they wanted.” Jason turned to look at Harry for a few seconds, and then he returned his gaze to Irene who looked as though she was about to pass out on the floor. “You really have to believe me, Sir. Irene gasped, with a frightful look that showed that she was really scared to call them. “What are you waiting for? Didn’t you hear him?” “I can’t! I was only allowed to speak to him once in three days.” Irene said with a shaky tone, trying so hard not to let the phone in her hands fall to the ground. Jason thought about what she said, but he seemed not to be so convinced about their decision, and the desire to know who was trying to kill his Grandfather made him so eager to know who they were. He sighed, turned to Harry, and then returned his gaze to Irene who was hopeful that were words were really convincing.“You have to call them, that’s the only way you prove your innocence.” “But..” “Didn’t you hear the Young Master? I will send someone to pick you up, and remember to come with everything that you need.” Jason said, and then he ended the call almost immediately, “Harry?” “Yes, Young Master,” Harry said at once, looking at Jason who seemed calm amidst the tension in the ambiance. Jason sighed, and then he cleared his throat twice, before saying what he wanted to say. “I need a driver and a car to pick up someone.” “Ok, Young Master,” Harry said, and then he turned to one of the bodyguards beside him and whispered some words into his ear. Kelvin sat down on the couch very close to the stool, and then he dragged it closer, while the eyes of everyone in the room remained fixed on him. Making sure that the stool was in a comfortable position, Kelvin unzipped his bag and brought out his black sizable laptop which he placed on the table, and turned to face Jason. “Can I have the mobile phone, please?” “Hand it over to him,” Jason said, turning to face Irene with an obvious expression, making her get up from her sitting position on the floor, but at a slow pace, while Kelvin turned to look a

Rose whispered some words into her sister’s ear, and even without hearing a word of what she was telling her, Jason could tell that they were talking about him, and within a few seconds, Rose stood up and walked up to him. She refused to let go of her smile while she walked slowly until she stopped a few inches away from him. “Thank you so much! How are you?” Jason’s face brightened up more the moment he set his eyes on Rose, but she was a little bit confused and ignored his question. “You sent for me.” She said calmly, stopping about three meters in front of Jason who nodded instantly without letting go of his smile. “Oh yes! The road was busy, causing Jason’s impatience to grow, but he remained calm while looking for the best way to maneuver through some of the cars in front of him. “Out of the way!” He barked at one of the st

The rest were too ashamed to react to his question. “I see…” He scoffed, and after looking around for a few seconds, he returned his gaze to them without letting go of the smirk on his face. “What you should seek is redemption, all of you. From where I am standing, you do not deserve mercy. Maybe when you have tasted the other side of life just like I have, then you will be able to receive redemption. We are done here, I only came to claim what rightfully belongs to me, your words have no effect on me.” Jason turned to look at Ramon who waited to hear what he was going to say, eager to carry out their instruction. “Ramon?”“Yes, Young Master!” Th

If you really want to show me how desperate you are to be shown mercy, then getting on your knees shouldn’t be a problem. The ball is in your court.” Jason maintained a smirk on his face, and then he went silent, waiting to see what their reaction was going to be. “You really want us to kneel?” Lady Alice asked with a weak tone, but Jason remained silent while he maintained his smirk. The old lady looked at her family members, and seeing that they were as helpless as she was, she swallowed hard saliva and sighed heavily. “I can't believe I am about to do this.” She grunted, and after giving Jason one long look, she slowly lifted her gown with both hands, and went on her knees, unable to lift her face from the ground. “Thi

The news of the revelation of the identity of the richest and youngest billionaire in the entire country spread like wildfire, and people were cut between trying to know how a nobody suddenly became the heir to the biggest conglomerate in the country, and how he had managed to keep his secret hidden for so long while he carried out all his plans. Evidently, Jason had succeeded in carrying out his plans, or most of them, but there was still more, and there was no way he was going to leave any loose ends. The sun had taken over the moon, shining its rays on the surface of the earth while the cool morning breeze was blowing on the faces of everyone who was out that morning, including those who left their windows open. Standing firm with his evergreen smile intact, Jason kept his eyes on the Palmer mansion for a very long time while the memories of the past experiences he had in that building flashed through his mind. “Who would have thought that this day would come?” He thought t

I have always been longing for this day when I can look you in the eyes, and watch you pay for what you did.” Jason grunted angrily, and then he took in a deep breath which he let out slowly before he continued. “I have your goods locked up somewhere safe, but the authorities have been informed of all your involvement. And why is Philip kneeling before him?” She added, standing up slowly from her seat to have a better look. “Maybe he is one of the guards who are here with Mr. Walker.” Jacob her cousin stated, and Andrew nodded to support him even though he had several doubts running through his mind, especially with the fact that Jason stood out fr
