“Wh…Wh.” Isabella stuttered. “Yes, what’s inside this room?” “That is none of your business, Jason, leave this place.” Chloe’s voice resounded from the background. Jason was quiet, and then he looked at the people who had obviously connived against him. “I want to know what is inside the room.” “Who do you think you are to make such a demand?” “Well, if there is nothing suspicious inside the room, don’t you think I can as well look at it, Philip?” “Nonsense! You have no right to make such a demand.” Philip barked angrily at Jason who chuckled indignantly at the situation at hand. “You should get going, Jason, I think working hours are over,” Sarah said with her eyes rolling at Jason in disdain. Jason was quiet, he looked at Sarah and then changed his gaze to his ex-wife who did everything she could to avoid maintaining a long eye contact with him. He sighed, and then gradually he lifted the pacifier in such a way that everyone could see it. “This is not a coincid

Jacob stormed into the hallway and moved toward Jason with so much rage, that he attempted to strangle Jason, but he stood his ground and didn't even flinch. “Babe!” Chloe said and rushed to her husband, giving him a tight embrace with so much excitement written all over her. Sarah was not left out as well, she rushed to Jacob and started to look all over his body, to be sure that he was truly ok. “Did they hurt you? Where is Andrew?” She asked at the same time, but Jacob’s attention was all pointed at Jason who had a smirk on his face. “Welcome Jacob, you look…good,” Jason said after he had taken a short look at Jacob. “You think this is funny.” Jacob snarled in deep anger, but Jason ignored his reaction. “Where is Andrew?” Sarah asked looking behind to see if she was going to see her brother. “Andrew is home too,” Jacob announced with a low but angry tone. “Why is he still here by this time? Why did you allow him to remain here?” Jacob asked, turning her gaze to Isab

“What the hell are you talking about Jason? I can’t heat anything.” Isabella retorted with a smirk on her face, the feeling of guilt pricked her entire conscience. Offended by her words, Jason clenched his fists and breathed fury. “Are you trying to insinuate that I am crazy? Do I look like a child?” “Maybe,” Sarah said with a mocking expression. “No one heard anything except you Jason, I suggest you go check yourself in the hospital, that’s if you can afford the bills.” “Don’t worry dear, I will help him, I think I can spare a few dollars for his sake, even though he clearly doesn't deserve it,” Philip said in response to Isabella’s utterance. Jason ignored them and listened again, placing his left ear closer to the door as the sound he heard suddenly disappeared. “Did you hear anything?” Isabella questioned, her confidence rising all of a sudden. “It is very obvious that he didn’t hear anything Bella, can’t you see the way he is looking so confused.” Sarah retorted

“Henry!” He said aloud, as soon as he swung the door open, and saw the toddler on the bed crying, he had just woken up from sleep and was so frightened when he saw himself alone in an empty room with only a bed and a long table. Jason quickly moved to the bed and grabbed him, patting his bed gently while he rested him on his right shoulder. “I am so sorry son, so sorry you have to pass through this,” Jason said, still caressing his back gently with his right hand. The baby cooed in relief when he rested on his father’s shoulders, and gradually, the little teats in his eyes started to dry out. Morgan was the second person to walk into the room, and when he saw Jason carrying Henry, he turned to look at his family members who bent their heads in shame. “This is despicable,” he said softly to the hearing of everyone around. He looked at his sister with glances of disproval and disappointment at her action. When he was certain that his son was calm, and after checking to see i

Those words got to Philip, and he would have loved to pounce on Jason immediately. He walked up to Jason who stood beside the staircase waiting for him and gave him a stern look. “You really think so highly of yourself, huh?” “Well, you never can tell, I could be just more than you ever imagined.” Jason retorted with a smirk, but his words only made Philip scoff, and he looked down on him with so much disdain. “You made me look like a fool before my father-in-law,” Philip said in annoyance, but Jason chose not to say anything at that moment, he only maintained a smile that he didn't want to discard. “You really think this is funny, you waltz in here and think you can turn us against each other, do you know who I am?” Jason looked at Philip from the crown of his hair to the sole of his shoes, but he said nothing, only his smile showed that he was having fun. “Didn’t you hear me, boy? I asked a question.” Philip barked again, and this time, he drew closer to Jason as their f

Feeling really famished, Jason decided to go grab something to eat, it was almost night, and he hadn’t had anything to eat. “Where do I go from here?” He asked himself, standing right in front of the gigantic gate of the Palmer residence, his stomach was beginning to rumble, and he yawned at different intervals, with his left hand covering his mouth. “I really need to eat something, or else I lose my breath.” He said to himself, and just as he had wanted to walk toward the road, his eyes caught sight of his shirt, causing him to halt. “There is no way I am going out this way.” Jason sighed, and then he quickly moved over to the cabin behind the lake, he pushed the door and went inside. A few minutes later, he walked out of the cabin, putting on a jacket over the shirt, the same Jacket that was the only thing he was allowed to move out of the mansion with the very day he caught Isabella with his mansion. He walked faintly toward the road, and luckily for him, he sighte

Jason’s attention was drawn immediately to the table behind him, he really wanted to find out what was going on, and apparently, what he felt was the situation was not far-fetched. “Don’t you see that I am doing you a huge favor here? You clearly cannot take care of her with your meager salary, allow me to ease off that burden from you, be a gentleman, and leave.” “I wasn’t talking to you, old man, I was speaking to my wife.” “Well, clearly she doesn’t want to listen to you, how difficult is it to comprehend?” The old man in the fancy grey suit said. He dipped his fork into the mutton chop on his plate, cut it with the knife, and extended his right hand toward the young lady. “Here you go, love.” “Thanks, babe.” The lady said as she leaned forward to the man and dragged out the mutton chop from the fork with her teeth, giggling excitedly. The old man smiled in satisfaction and then he took the napkin on the table and wiped the lips of the lady, as she continued to chuckle in

Rebecca scoffed, and then she burst into a few seconds of laughter, but that didn’t stop the relentlessness of the young man standing beside her. “Did you hear that Honey? He says he will fight me with everything that he has, he doesn’t even have a good job.” “Well, now that you mentioned, I guess he should kiss his job goodbye, let’s see how the pauper is going to feed.” “To hell with you and your job Mr. Reynolds, you can shove it down your throat, I don't need it.” Rebecca gasped at her husband’s words, Mr. Reynolds was not left out as well, his eyes widened, and his brows were raised above their edges as the wrinkles on his face started to appear more visible, exposing his real age behind those nice facials. “Did you just say that to me? What temerity!” “Yes, I did, you have lost every form of respect I had for you, you can't go around treating people like garbage, just because you are rich. Jason was the first to step out of the hot tub before Brenda joined him. Handing over one of the two towels he grabbed to her, he gave her a lovely smile which made her blush while she grabbed the towel, and wrapped her body with it. “You are still staring.” Brenda said with her smile intact, but Jason couldn’t take his eyes away from her, not even for a second. “What am I going to ever do without you? You have brought me so much joy, Brenda.” “Nothing, Jay. You are going to do nothing.” Brenda chuckled while Jason nodded without getting rid of his smile. “You are right. Absolutely nothing, that’s what I am going to do if I ever lose you.” “Well, I am not leaving anytime soon. I am here with you, my love.” Brenda patted Jason on both cheeks before she turned and walked toward the bedroom, holding onto her towel with both hands. “We must hurry, Jay! For a few seconds Jason was silent while he exchanged glances with the couple, not sure of who he was to face. It was obvious that they were expecting to hear him speak, but the silence in the room was killing them, having more effect on Lucas who couldn’t forget the words he said to him. He was afraid that the day of reckoning had come, and it was time to pay for all his crimes. Still unable to stop himself from finger mg, especially at the sight of Ramon who gave him threatening looks, Lucas decided to grab his bottle, hoping to get back some of his composure from a gulp. “What’s that?” Jason’s calm words stopped Lucas from grabbing the bottle from the ground, causing him to remain still while he lifted his face slowly to look at him, patches of guilt all over his face. “I can’t believe this.” Jason scoffs. “You really want to drink right now. You have really drowned yourself in so much alcohol. I bet you dream of drinking while you sleep.” Jason sighed softly, and remain

Everyone remained silent amidst the tension that surrounded the air. While Lucas kept his eyes on Jason who remained still with a smirk on his face, he struggled with the contemplation of either remaining where he was standing, or moving backward. For a second, he took two steps backward, but because it felt as though his body no longer belonged to him, he couldn’t move afterward. “Hello… Dad. I see you haven’t left your old habits.” Jason pointed at the bottle of whiskey which Lucas tightly held onto even in the midst of the cringe that engulfed him. “It’s you.” Lucas’ voice was shaky. And while he held onto the half-empty bottle, he gently lifted it up to look at it, filled with thoughts of his numerous drinking adventures. It was true that he was intoxicated at that moment, but the sight of Jason and his companions made the effects of the whiskey wear off at once, leaving him to struggle with the situation. “I am just going to let myself in. Excuse me…” Jason gestured to

Hello, Mother
“You know you don’t have to come with me, right? It’s not like he is going to beat me just like he did several years ago.” Jason said to Brenda who was helping him out with his jacket. The news on the internet was getting a lot of attention from even different countries, and knowing that it wasn’t going to die down if he didn’t do anything about it, Jason decided to pay his foster parents a visit that night, discarding his initial plans to go see them the next day. “You are not going to be able to talk me out of this, Jay. I suggest you quit your attempts and allow me to come with you. Trust me, you are going to need me to support you, and I will always be by your side, Jay. No matter what.” Brenda’s words were helpful at that moment, and a bright smile appeared on Jason’s face, taking over his worried expression. “Thank you. I am glad you are coming with me, Brenda.” “Good. That’s all I needed you to say.” “But you have to go to work tomorrow, and I know how much you love

As soon as he got the call from Brenda, Jason stepped out of the mansion and moved into the car. He drove to the hospital at once, and a few minutes after he parked the car, Brenda walked out of the building with her handbag carefully held with both hands. “Are you okay?” Jason asked, still staring at her even when she got into the car and slammed the door. “Yeah. Why?”“Nothing, love. I just wasn’t expecting that you would call me to come pick you up this early. It’s only been a few hours.” Jason looked at his Hublot wristwatch to ascertain that it wasn’t close to closing time yet. “Yeah…” Brenda grunted slowly, and after letting out the air she inhaled, she continued with a low tone. “I have just been feeling very tired lately, Jay. Even the patients I attended to noticed the difference. I think I will just rest today, probably by tomorrow I should be fine.” “Are you sure? Maybe we should go on a vacation or something. We should go…” Jason suggested, but Brenda shook her

The Butler remained silent for over ten seconds, but the stillness made Jason’s anxiety linger while he approached him with a curious expression on his face. “Harry? Is my Grandfather okay? Where is Henry?”“Lord Walker is fine. Nothing has happened to Ed to your son.” “Okay? So why the long face? What’s going on?” Jason was relieved that his greatest fear was not the reason for the Butler’s worrisome look, but he still needed to know what was happening. “We might have a little problem, Young Master.” “Problem? Talk to me, Harry! You are not saying anything!” Jason became a little bit impatient, and while he waited for a response, he went through his mind at once, thinking if anything that may have been the reason for yeh words from the middle-aged man. “Your parents, Young Master. The words from Jason hit Julius like a thunderbolt, and he was forced to keep quiet even though he never intended to. For a few seconds the middle-aged man remained calm, eyes on Jason who was waiting to be certain that he wasn’t going to say any other thing. “Good…” Jason sighed softly, and then he cleared his throat before he continued with a smirk on his face. “Now that I have your attention, I think it would be nice for us to get straight to the reason why I am here.” He paused for a few seconds just to be sure that Julius was paying attention, and continued when he was satisfied with the look on his face. “It’s very obvious that you deserve to be locked up forever, and the key thrown into the ocean, but unfortunately, you are still family. Now, I wonder what I am going to do with you, Julius. There were guards standing in front of the gigantic metal gate, heavily armed and ready to shoot any intruder at sight. Their eyes were everywhere, on the lookout as they stood at various corners in front of the gate. The sight of Jason’s car approaching made them readjust immediately, but they were eased as soon as they recognized him from afar as he wheeled slowly, and stopped right in front of the gate. “Young Master.” One of the guards who came forward bowed gently while Jason nodded in response. “Let me in.” “At once!” The guard turned instantly, and signaled to his partner who grabbed a walkie-talkie with which he communicated with someone from the inside of the vicinity of the building. The gates opened automatically as soon as the button to unlock it was pressed, and Jason drove in at once, looking around through the windows beside him. It was his first time in the military training camp, and even though he asked Harry to give him the address to the place, he

Standing in front of his room the next morning, Jason waited patiently, glad in a grey suit while he looked around the hallway as though he was expecting to see someone. His eyes eventually stopped at his Grandfather’s door while so many thoughts of contemplation ran through his mind. “I don’t think he will be happy if he finds out that I want to go there without him.” He whispered only to his hearing, and then he sighed softly before he was distracted by the sound of footsteps approaching from a distance in front of him. The Butler appeared after a few seconds and Jason cleared his throat while he signaled to him to walk toward him the moment he noticed he was walking toward Lord Walker’s room. “Good morning, Young Master. I didn’t realize that you were standing there.” Harry said as soon as he stopped in front of Jason who sighed at once. “Morning, Harry. How are the girls?”“They are fine, Young Master.
