What happened Bella?

Isabella couldn’t say any word. She kept mute for a few seconds unable to get herself to tell her mother of the twist of the encounter she had at the law firm.

Seeing the worrisome look on her face, Fiona turned towards Clark with an inquisitive stare but the young man seemed to be in the same gloomy mood as her daughter.

“What’s wrong baby! Is everything ok? Clark?” Fiona asked as her heart began to slowly speed up with irregular beats for some reason that wasn’t clear to her.

“Oh don’t tell me you are thinking twice about dumping his silly ass! He was a poor bastard and couldn’t have been able to ever take care of you. He wouldn’t have been able to match your standards.” Maya said appearing from the back with her right hand clutching her phone tightly.

“Come here Sweetie. No one to be sad you did absolutely the right thing.” Chloe said and embraced Isabella tightly with a smile on her face.
