2025-04-11 20:43:36Rose was still engrossed in reading the news when she felt someone sit down beside her. She rasied her eyes and saw a man smiling at her.
He even sat down next to her without her permission. Rose rolled her eyes. Is this guy trying to flirt with her right now? She definitely wasn't in the mood to do this.
"Hi....I can sit here right?" The man asked. He seemed to have a lot of confidence in his charm.
"If I say no, are you going to get lost?" Rose said.
The man was obviously surprised. He wasn't expecting her to react like this.
Rose rolled her eyes when she saw the suprise on his face. Did he think that she was going to be charmed if he did something like this? Whatever. She was just going to ignore him once he got tired of talking, he would leave on how own.
The man was obviously surprised but that did not stop him from trying to hit on Rose. In fact, he was much more determined now. It seemed that it had become some kind of challenge for him.
"I see. Anyway, my name is Clinton. I think that we can get to know each other more" The man said flashing Rose what he thought was a very charming smile.
Rose rolled her eyes. This person just doesn't know when to stop right?
"I'm sorry but I don't want to get to know you at all" Rose said. There was no need for them to continue flirting. For some reason, this person gave her the creeps. She did not want to have anything to do with him.
The man was obviously insulted. In a second, his gentleman image crashed. ,"I just want to get to know you. Is something wrong with that?" He asked, clearly angry.
Rose was also starting to lose her temper with this person. Doesn't he know when to stop.
"I don't want to get to know you. I'm not obligated to respond when you talk to me right? If you continue doing this, don't you know that it will become harrassment?" Rose asked. Since it was already like this, she felt that there was no need for her to continue to be polite.
"Ha! Harrassment! I Clinton, am accused of harrasing a woman?" He asked. He sounded like he could not believe it.
Rose took a good look at the person talking to her. His looks were passable .. but the clothes that he was wearing, they screamed branded from head to toe. It seemed that he was afraid that someone wasn't going to notice that he was rich.
People like this annoyed Rose the most. She just wanted to end this conversation as soon as possible.
"You want to get to know me? Let's be honest here. You are just looking for someone to hook up with for the night right?" Rose asked.
She figured it out the second he sat next to her. She just didn't want to say it out loud. Hoping that he would take the hints and stop harrasing her. But since he obviously doesn't want to leave her alone, she can only use this method to tell him to get lost.
Clinton was quiet for a full two minutes. It seemed that the woman already saw through him. He did come here with the intentions of hooking up with her for the night. He did not think that she was going to expose him like this.
Anyone else would have already gotten the hint that Rose did not want to have anything to do with him but Clinton obviously wasn't everyone else. He refused to give up.
"Right. Since you already know it, there's no need to keep beating around the bush. How much is it?" He asked. He had already been polite enough with her. Since she did not want that, he was just going to go straight to the point. After all, all these women, they were all the same.
Rose was shocked. She clearly wasn't expecting something like this. She already knew that he wasn't a gentleman but asking her how much it was, who the hell does he think that he is?
"What? What did you say?" Rose asked him.
Actually, Clinton had already figured out that Rose probably wasn't a woman like that. He was just angry that she had insulted him and ignored him and he just wanted to get back at her in the most petty way. These women.. wasn't the most effective way to insult her character?
"I asked how much is it? One million? I'll give it to you! Accompany me for the night" Clinton said with a smirk on his face.
Rose had an urge to splash her drink on his face and just walk away but she decided against it. Even if she did that, it wasn't going to teach this person a lesson. At most, he would just become more smug. The best way to deal with shameless people was to be even more shameless yourself.
"One million? Is that all you got? I thought that you were something..turns out....you are only worth a million" Rose said. She was clearly mocking him.
Clinton just wanted to get back at Rose for insulting and ignoring him but he was enraged now. What does she think that she is doing? He is only worth a million?
"What? Is a million not enough for you? How much do you want?! Two million? You can name your price" He said boastfully.
He was very arrogant now. He just wanted to get back at this woman that had insulted him so much.
"Ten million" Rose said.
"What?! Ten million?!" Clinton exclaimed. Even though he was rich, he was the type that had gotten rich quickly. He was already feeling terrible about giving this damn woman two Million. Who knew, that she was going to ask him for ten million? Does she think that he is some sort of money dispenser? She was acting so high and mighty, who knew that she was just an extremely greedy woman?
"Ten million? Do you think that you are worth ten million? I'm already doing you a favour by offering you two million! Do you think that I'll waste ten million on someone like you?" Clinton asked.
What the hell? He should have known that this woman was crazy! What was he hoping to get coming here to talk to this woman? She is completely crazy! Asking him for ten million! Does she think that he runs a bank or something? What the hell?!
Rose let out a low chuckle when she heard his words.
"I heard that poverty does limit one's mindset. It seems that it's true. I'm saying that I'll give you ten million for you to get lost" Rose said.
Clinton was shocked beyond words. He wasn't expecting her to say something like this. "What...what did you say?' he asked her. He had to confirm. He had never been so insulted by a woman in all his life!
"I said that I'll give you ten million for you to get lost! But obviously, you aren't even worth it" Rose said.
Clinton felt that he was going to vomit blood. He really wanted to cry. She was going to give him ten million to get lost and he wasn't even worth it? This isn't how it's supposed to go! What the hell is wrong with the script? How did he end up meeting this kind of woman? She did not even give him the chance to make a comeback! Who the hell is she?
Rose did not want to continue to talk to this person. She got up and walked past him. Clinton was silent for a few seconds before he realized that she was walking away. No matter what, he had to get back at this woman today and restore his pride!
Because she had been drinking quite a lot, Rose was already feeling light headed. She just wanted to go home and sleep. But it proved not to be so simple
She had walked away a few steps when she heard someone yell behind her,
"Hey you woman, stop right there! Do you think that I'll let you go just like that? I said stop!"
Rose turned back and saw that Clinton was following her. Damn! This man doesn't know that he is supposed to stop now? Why is he still harrasing her? She really wanted to shake this annoying person off.
Because she was already quite drunk, Rose staggered as she walked. She ended up crashing into someone. She thought for sure that she was going to fall to the ground with the person but a pair of strong hands caught her and stopped her from calling.
Rose looked up at the person that caught her. It was a man. The first impression that Rose had of him was that he was handsome.
Rose felt that she knew this person but she just could not remember where she knew him from. She was already drunk and she could not be bothered to think much about it.
Behind her, Clinton was still chasing after her.
Rose made a bold decision. She had to be firm if she really wanted to shake this person off.
"Honey! You took so long! You said that you were coming back soon! Why did you take so long?!" Rose said whole pouting. She sounded like she was going to start crying any time soon
The corner of Mike's mouth twitched. Since Richardwas away for a month, he did not have to clean up his messes. He was really happy about it. He came to the bar to celebrate, who knew that he was going to run into some random woman crashing into him?
The first thought that he had was to walk away and leave her alone but the woman seemed really familiar so he took a second look. It turned out that it was Scarlet's manager. His lips twitched when he realized that.
Richardand Claudia were on thier honeymoon somewhere. How is it that the both of them ended up running into each other here? What kind of fate is this?
She looked like she was really drunk so he was really surprised when she started calling him honey. What is going on here?
"Honey...let's go.... we've already waited so long" Rose continued to say. She looked back at Clinton and saw that he was contemplating whether to walk over or not.
When his eyes met her eyes, she made a face at him. It seemed that he had made up his mind and he walked over to her.
Clinton tried to grab Claudia's hand but Matt pulled her to himself. He seemed to have figured out pretty much what was going on. It seemed that she got herself into some kind of trouble here
"What do you think that you are doing?" Matt asked glaring at the man.
Clinton looked at Claudia that was gloating at him and then he looked at Matt. He did not know who this man was but for some reason, he felt that he was someone that he could not afford to offend
