Dylan stared at the middle-aged police officer he was sitting opposite from. He was just busy taking things down in a note.

He couldn't believe his uncle would stoop so low to arrest him for such an ordinary threat. Wow.

"So you don't have any family and no guardian?" The police officer asked.

Dylan gave him a blank look and asked, "Do I look like a kid?"

The officer put both his arms on his desk and looked at Dylan with a slight revulsion evident on his face. "For someone who has nothing, of course, you can result in joining bad gangs or why did you have a gun?"

"For protection."

"Protection against your gang rivals." The man concluded with a snide expression. The boy has no idea that he's doomed.

Dylan furrowed his brows in confusion. "No. No, I didn't…"

"I think getting involved with a bad crowd gives you the guts to go after your family. Why? Because you've got people to back you up, right?"
