Six

Dylan arrived at the Harper family's villa. Even though it was called a villa, it was just an unremarkable little three-story building. It was a far cry from a real villa.

One of the guards in the villa walked toward him. "The madame will be angry if she sees you."

"But you're gonna let me in, anyway, and besides what can she do?" He asked the guard. "I'm the man of the house, Romeo. I'm still part of this family so you can't stop me from visiting my wife, do you understand?"

The guard nodded. "Of course."

Dylan looked up and saw the light in Hermione's room was off so he wondered if she was already asleep. He didn't even know if he should believe any words coming out of madam Sharon's mouth. She was deceitful anyway. She likes to make things up just to fulfill the fantasies in her head.

Rushing toward the door to the villa, he stopped in his tracks as he saw what made his heart suddenly become uneasy. His widened eyes stared at Hermione and Sean coming out of the living room, holding hands and then locking lips with each other.

Anger boiled his system so he ran toward them and pushed Sean off Hermione, giving him a punch that instant. "How dare you, Sean?"

Sean's eyes widened, then he lunged at Dylan, wanting to throw a punch at him, but Dylan caught his hand. He twisted it and moved behind Sean, grabbing him by the neck. "So this is what you do? Sleep with my wife?"

Hermione who was still shocked at Dylan's sudden appearance yelled at him. "What are you doing, Dylan?!"

Dylan glared at her while Sean struggled in his hold. "You're not the one with the right to ask the questions here, Hermione. I should be asking you that."

"You and I are over, Dylan. I don't want you anymore so why can't you get it and leave me the hell alone?!"

Dylan looked at her with disbelief. "Leave you?...“ Before he could finish the statement, Sean gave him an elbow to his neck that made him loosen his hold and he suddenly turned and punched Dylan in the face, breathing heavily.

“It seems you don't want to learn your lessons, cuz. You better leave." Sean threatened.

Dylan looked at the blood in his hand coming from his mouth and then he chuckled darkly before looking back at Sean. "What are you going to do to make me leave?"

"It also seems you're forgetting where you stand in the food chain, Dylan. Isn't your aunt about to die, don't you want the money? Look at you being so stupid." Sean retorted.

Dylan scoffed. "How long has this been going on? How long have you both been doing this behind my back?!"

"Just shut the hell up, Dylan! You're a nobody now. I don't want you, I don't like you so just get lost." Hermione shunned him.

Dylan looked at her with furrowed brows and back at Sean who just gave him a smirk.

Sean walked up to Dylan with that smirk still on his face. "You've lost, Dylan, don't you know? Why should Hermione be with the son of a fraud who's now an ordinary pau…" He was suddenly pushed and he landed on the floor.

Sean looked up to see Dylan fuming in rage.

Standing up in annoyance, a punch landed on his face that sent him back to the floor with Dylan suddenly on top of him, giving him more series of punches before grabbing his shirt. "You dare insult my father?" He questioned and gave him another punch in his face.

"Dylan!” Hermione shouted in fear and shook her head. "Oh, God. MOM!" She immediately ran inside the living room.

Sean chuckled, spitting out blood. "You seem to have a lot of things ticking the bomb inside you, Dylan but get it in that thick brain of yours that you lost and I won."

"You've become so brazen, Sean…" He dragged his shirt and lifted him up so that can be face to face. "But it seems you're forgetting the kind of cousin you have."

Sean laughed out loud, finding it funny. "The kind of cousin?" He questioned, his expression getting serious. "You think I'm gonna be scared of you forever? YOU THINK I'M GONNA SPEND MY LIFE UNDER YOUR SHADOW FOREVER?" He suddenly yelled like a madman. "You're the one who should be scared, Dylan. You know I won't let this go unpunished."

Dylan gave him a blank look. 'If only he knows, he wouldn't be so brazen.' He thought to himself then he hit Sean's back against the ground causing a groan out of him. "You will see who will win or who will lose, Sean. I'll make you regret…"

"WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE!!" A familiar voice boomed but it didn't avert Dylan's gaze.

Madame Sharon fumed at the sight and she yelled. "Where the hell are the guards, ah?" Three of them came out with lowered heads and she scoffed. "Is this a show for you to watch? How dare you let him in and cause a ruckus in my house?!!!" She yelled at them.

They immediately ran and grabbed Dylan by his arms which he immediately and angrily shove off before standing up on his own, his eyes setting on madame Sharon.

Hermione immediately went to lift Sean off the floor and looked pitifully at his injured face. "Oh, God. I'm so sorry." She said before glaring at Dylan.

Madame Sharon walked to him and landed a slap on his face with eyes that if looks could kill he would have been six feet under.

As he was about to look at Madame Sharon again, another slap landed on his other cheek which made him grunt lowly and swallowed in an attempt to calm himself.

"It seems you still don't know your place, Dylan. My family does not want you anymore. This family wants you out so why can't you get it in your thick skull?" She questioned him.

Dylan gritted his teeth and looked at her. "I remember when I got married to your daughter, mom. You were the happiest woman on earth. I lavished you with so many gifts and you promised nothing is ever going to pull the family apart. I spent money that day that I haven't spent in a lifetime and I married my wife with your blessings legally and now you want me out?" Then he chuckled like a crazy person like that word was the most funny thing. "How is that possible? How can I be out?"

"If you want compensation or an alimony, you know I can easily pay you off, cousin," Sean said with a smirk on his bloodied face.

Dylan looked at him. "And what are you going to do if I don't want that?"

"I've always known you were nothing but a piece of garbage, Dylan. Look what pride has done to you. You're a nobody now, there's nothing you can do for my family, Dylan so I want you to get lost. You will sign that divorce and get lost!" Madame Sharon prompted.

Hermione decided to chime in so she walked up to Dylan. "I know you're angry about my relationship with Sean but don't you understand that that's the more reason for you to let me go? I cheated on you, yes, I admit and yes, you're angry, so that should be enough to let me go. Let's divorce and end things between us."

Dylan smiled like the words didn't affect him at all. "Come on, honey, people don't easily divorce due to cheating. Whether we love each other or not, darling, I'll make sure you're stuck with me."

"How dare yo…"

"You won't be able to get rid of me, mother-in-law, and you, my wife. Not easily. Over my dead body…"

Madame Sharon immediately pushed him. "Just get out! Get the hell out!"

Dylan rose his hands in surrender. "Fine, gee, mom. I'm leaving but make sure your daughter's relationship with my cousin is kept a secret. I mean, people say we have not consummated our marriage but if they found out they've consummated their relationship, no one will want her anymore when Sean drops to the bottom of the food chain too."

"WHAT?!!" Sean bawled out in anger.

Dylan shrugged. "I'm just saying. Anything can happen, it happened to me. Who's to say it won't happen to you, Sean?"

Sean clenched his fists in anger and in resentment, his eyes glared deathly at Dylan who just stood finding his countenance funny.

Madame Sharon could only frown at the statement.

Dylan looked at Hermione. "Goodbye, my love. We'll see again." Then he smirked and walked away.
