Thirty three

Dylan was allowed in and he sized the living room up. It was fairly grand, especially for someone who he must have thought was poor or at least financially stable.

As he heard footsteps, he looked toward the stairs and found the familiar woman he came here for. Maria Hastings. She was beautiful for someone around the age of his mother-in-law. She had long brown hair and hazel eyes and she screamed elegance just by looking at her.

But she was a sad woman. Even though she hides it, it was written all over her face.

She got to Dylan and forced a smile. "So I was told you're here to speak to me about my daughter. Do you know her?" She questioned.

Dylan shook his head and answered, "Unfortunately, no. I don't know her personally but I've heard about her."

"Heard?" Madame Maria asked in confusion.

Dylan nodded. "I heard what happened to her in Harper Enterprises." He divulged.
