The alchemist was shocked. He approached Yohan, who was still lying on the ground, groaning in pain.
"I-It's... This is the first time I've seen something like this."
Ancel frowned in disbelief. He thought the alchemist knew why a black mark suddenly appeared on Yohan's body when he touched the dragonscale weapon.
"Hey, are you okay?" Ancel tried to help Yohan to his feet. Yohan's breathing was labored. Ancel could feel his uncomfortable breathing.
"Yohan!"
Yohan looked weakly at Ancel. "It hurts like hell."
"Come on, help him up and put him on the chair. I'll check the mark." Athlas got up and took some things from the old wooden cupboard at the back of the room. Ancel's brow was still slightly furrowed. It was obvious that he was puzzled by what the alchemist was about to do.
"What are you going to do?"
Athlas took a small bamboo phial from the leather pouch he had taken from the closet. Ancel continued to watch what the man was about to do until he prevented Athlas from taking out an acupuncture needle from inside the small bamboo phial.
"What are you doing?"
Athlas accidentally dropped the bamboo, and its contents spilled onto the ground.
Athlas' fingers trembled. Ancel wondered if the man was nervous or afraid. His expression was unclear. His eyes seemed interested in Yohan's condition. For a moment, Ancel was silent, watching Athlas touch the black mark on Yohan's body. Then he looked up and stared directly into the man's eyes, feeling a shiver run down his spine as he saw the look of intense interest in his eyes.
"Wh-What are you going to do?" Ancel even cursed his own voice, which sounded shaky. It was probably the first time he had ever felt goosebumps from someone who was not a member of the Kingdom's military.
Athlas looked at Ancel and smiled weakly at him. "Don't worry, I'll just check on his condition."
"You promised not to do anything strange to Yohan, right?"
Athlas shook his head slightly. But still, Ancel was worried. This handsome man before him was known as a great alchemist. His reputation was good. But this was also the first time Ancel had met him in person. For some reason, he still couldn't fully trust Athlas. Especially after seeing that strange expression on his face.
Yohan whimpered in pain. Fortunately, he was still conscious. Athlas examined the area of his body that had the black mark. He took a few drops of Yohan's blood, put it in a small glass tube and stored the blood in a wooden box.
"Why are you keeping Yohan's blood?" Again, Ancel could not help but be suspicious of everything the alchemist did.
"I need to run some tests to confirm this condition." Athlas began to explain.
Athlas looked at Ancel, and again Ancel's body experienced some kind of strange goosebumps as he met the alchemist's eyes.
Athlas then smiled, which obviously confused Ancel even more. "Don't worry, I'll just do a test to confirm this condition. As I said, I've never seen anything like this before. Aren't you curious about what happened to Yohan?"
Ancel agreed. He couldn't be evasive anymore. After all, he didn't understand such things either. Ancel was not a noble like the knights. He didn't have the same education they had. So he didn't know many things.
Ancel turned to Yohan. "Hey, don't you feel strange?"
Yohan took a deep breath. "Don't be afraid. Athlas won't do anything strange to me."
Ancel bowed his head. He was caught suspecting Athlas. Actually, it was only natural for him to be suspicious of the alchemist. He didn't know, Ancel just felt that there was something unusual about the alchemist.
"How did it go? Can Yohan go back to the palace? Lord Indark might go crazy if he finds out that Yohan left the palace without his permission.
Yohan woke up immediately. He hissed slightly as he felt the pain and heat around his body where the black mark had been.
"That's right. I can't let Alastair scold you because of me."
Ancel shook his head. "I have no problem. It's just that I'm afraid the other knights know about it. Lord Indark will be even more disrespected if he has to take care of a lowly hunter like me and an otherworldly human like you. Nobles always seem to be noticed by others. I don't want to embarrass him."
Yohan smiled slightly. As always, Ancel felt so indebted to Alastair Indark that he always wanted to uphold the knight's good name.
"Okay, let's hurry back to the palace."
Athlas repacked the twin spears and handed them to Yohan.
"Be careful, the effect of the dragon scales seems to be quite strong. Until I find out what that black mark on your body actually is, please don't use this spear carelessly."
Yohan nodded. "Yes, let me know if you find the problem."
Ancel helped Yohan out of the alchemist's shop. He struggled a bit because he also had to carry Yohan's bundle of twin spears.
"I think I can walk alone. You help me carry the spears."
Ancel was worried. "Are you serious?"
Yohan nodded with a grin. "Yes. You think I'm weak?"
Ancel snorted. "It's not like that. I just..."
Yohan grinned faintly. "You're worried? Wow, I'm really touched." He said in a joking tone.
Ancel snorted in annoyance. If Alastair Indark hadn't paid special attention to the otherworldly human, Ancel wouldn't have cared much either. This person might have been dragged into this world by accident during the summoning process. But this fate that happened could have a tremendous impact in the future. The problem was, would it be a good effect or a bad effect? Ancel felt uncomfortable letting Yohan wander around alone.
"Yohan, do you want to go back to your own world?"
There was a silence between them after Ancel asked this question. Yohan didn't look like he wanted to answer right away. Ancel turned to him and saw how Yohan's eyes narrowed and he looked up at the sky as if he was deep in thought.
"Wait, don't you want to go back?"
Yohan laughed. "That is impossible. I really want to go home. Who wants to live in a strange world that even treats me like a deadly pest. I guess you wouldn't be too worried about my condition if Alastair hadn't told you, would you?"
Ancel was silent. Yohan seemed to be able to read his mind. He became agitated.
Yohan noticed the gesture. "Don't worry. I think it's perfectly normal to be a bit suspicious of strangers."
"By the way, how are you going to explain this spear to the people in the palace?"
Yohan snickered nonchalantly. "We'll see." He said with a slight grin.

I really want to apologize for leaving this story for so long. I was really busy with my thesis. But now, I think I'll be able to update this story more often.
Perhaps Yohan should have listened to Ancel's words about the spear they had brought from the alchemist's house. When they reached the palace and were about to enter the hunters' barracks, Alastair Indark was already standing there, staring at them with a fierce glare in his eyes."Captain Indark!" Ancel bowed to the man immediately.Yohan grimaced at him. "Hey, um... I was going out for a while and Ancel came with me because he was worried."Alastair tugged at the collar of Yohan's clothes. The rough action made Yohan moan in pain. The black marks that suddenly appeared on his body still looked like burns.Alastair noticed the change in Yohan's expression. "What's wrong?" he asked.Yohan immediately shook his head. "Nothing. It's nothing.""You're lying."Alastair quickly pulled off Yohan's clothes and examined his body. He was shocked to see the black marks all over Yohan's body. His eyes were filled with horror. He immediately pulled Yohan's arm in the direction of his room."Wait,
"Hello? Is someone there?"Yohan frowned in surprise. He was quite sure that his hearing was not wrong. He heard a loud crash outside the railing."Ancel? Are you there?"Actually, Yohan did not want to cross the railing. His position as a person from another world was already enough of a cause for serious concern here. Alastair Indark would certainly have a problem if Yohan's reckless behavior were to be reported to the crown prince.Yohan sighed and scratched his temple. "Did I hear wrong, huh?"Just as Yohan was about to turn around, he heard another crash. But this time it was softer."Damn, I can't take it anymore."Not to mention if he had to deal with the crown prince later. Yohan could not just walk away, suppressing his curiosity."Hey, is anyone in... what the hell?"Yohan ran over and approached an unconscious body with blood on its chest."Ancel! Ancel! What happened to you, why is it like this?"Yohan slowly laid Ancel's head on his thigh. His nose was bleeding, his mouth
Why did it come to this? Yohan was framed. Someone must have killed Ancel for Yohan to be blamed. He would not be surprised if it was people from the Kingdom. After all, ever since Yohan had come here, everyone had been suspicious of him. But really, Yohan did not expect them to do such a cruel thing.Yohan was taken to prison. He was locked in a dungeon, and then the knights covered Yohan's prison room with magic so that his voice could not be heard from outside."Fuck! What should I do now?"Yohan rubbed his face roughly. It was already difficult to get out of a normal prison, let alone one with magic spells. Yohan did not even know how to use magic because he was not from this world."I can't just stay here. I have to get out or-argh!"Yohan fell down. His back felt hot. It was so hot that he could feel it almost all over his body. Yohan took off his clothes, and the black marks on his body glowed like the color of fire."What is this shit! I don't even know why I have this black m
Yohan looked around the dungeon. There was a blue light surrounding the iron door of the prison. The blue light was wavy and seemed to move in place."Is that the magic the knights cast?" Yohan muttered.Actually, he was curious about the magic light. Would something happen if he touched it? Yohan had no magic in his body, at least he knew that."I want to try to touch it."Yohan stretched out his hand, ready to touch the blue light. But suddenly doubt crept into his heart."Wait, what if I die?"Yohan paced the prison. He had not seen anyone since he was imprisoned in this dungeon. He wondered how long he would be imprisoned in this dungeon."Can Alastair save me? He belongs to a high-ranking noble family, right?"Yohan approached the blue magical light that shrouded his prison cell. His fingers stretched out. Maybe he should just try it. Dangerous things were nothing new to him. In his original world, he had been a bodyguard. Even the last thing he did before being sucked into this
Yohan's question was ignored. The young man with a smaller physique than Yohan suddenly raised his palm right in front of Yohan. Suddenly, a blinding white light emerged from the line of the young man's palm.Yohan widened his eyes. "Wh-what is that?"The white light was so bright that Yohan's eyes could not absorb it. He immediately closed his eyes. Yohan felt a hard touch on his shoulder, like a hand squeezing his shoulder. Yohan tried to open his eyes, but again the white light blocked his vision.Slowly Yohan's eyelids felt heavy. An overwhelming sleepiness overcame him. He began to feel his whole body grow sluggish."No... what is wrong with me?" Yohan wondered in confusion."Sleep."Then Yohan lost consciousness.Yohan's body collapsed. The young man crouched down and briefly touched his forehead, then stood up."You did this to me, too, to get me into this magical prison?"The young man turned to one of the magical prison cells. Another criminal who had been banished to this du
Wait, the second prince? Is that even real? Yohan froze for a moment when he heard the young man's confession. He felt that this young man could not be an ordinary person. At the very least, he must be a noble. However, Yohan never thought that he was a prince.Yohan laughed immediately. "Ha... don't make this up. How could the second prince ask someone from another world like me to find the meteor flower? If you really are a prince, you can tell the guards here to find the flower for you, right?"The young man smiled slightly. "I wish I could."Yohan frowned in confusion. "What do you mean?""The Nox area is very dangerous. All this time, only Alastair Indark could go deep enough into that area. Then you came along and were able to defeat even a green dragon. That's really beyond the reach of our soldiers."Yohan snorted quietly. "Then your soldiers are very weak."Prince Elys smiled faintly. "Perhaps."Yohan turned his head. Why did the young man remain silent? Yohan had just insult
"Please... Yohan."Yohan felt pressured in this situation. A prince was making a request to him, and the prince was even meeting Yohan face to face for the first time."Wait, Your Highness... I can't move around this kingdom carelessly. The people's opinion of me is already bad, if I act at will, they will suspect me again.”Prince Ellys pleaded. "I will help you. I promised to clear your name.""Yes, I know. But how?""I will do it in my own way, so... you just have to accept my request. You will, won't you, Yohan?"Ah, damn. Yohan really could not make a move."If I refuse, what will happen to me?"Prince Ellys was silent for a moment. He let go of Yohan's hand, then turned and sat down in his chair. He looked at Yohan intently, leaving Yohan somewhat confused by the young prince's behavior."Do you want to refuse?"Prince Ellys' question made Yohan unconsciously swallow his own saliva. What was this? Was he afraid now? Why, the Prince's appearance was anything but intimidating. In
"Die!""Argh!""Yohan!"Yohan bit his lip as a knife stabbed into his left abdomen. He held onto it as he continued to posture to protect his young master."Yohan! Yohan!"The eight-year-old boy cried hysterically when he saw Yohan's severe injuries. His tiny palms gripped Yohan's clothes tightly and refused to let go."Listen, young master. You musn't cry. You must be strong." Yohan tried to rise to his feet and protect the child."Just hand over the child and we won't kill you!"Yohan glanced at the three men surrounding him. He found it difficult to fight back because he had to protect his young master. Fighting three men like this would not have been difficult if he were alone, but he had another responsibility to protect the boy. They were all after him, and Yohan was responsible for protecting him.Yohan immediately picked up the boy and carried him away even though his own body was badly injured. The men continued to chase Yohan. He, tired and in pain, entered a convenience sto
