Unfriendly Welcome

"Where are you going?" asked Yohan when he saw Alastair leaving.

Alastair stopped walking and turned around. "I have work to do. Take a break. As for what you should continue doing here, just wait for the crown prince's decision."

"Huh? Wait, am I not allowed to go out?"

Alastair shook his head. "For now, it's best not to go out. There are some clothes in that closet, you can change your clothes. Just obey what I say and don't leave this place."

"Eh, oi!"

Yohan snorted in annoyance as Alastair went out and locked the door. He could hear a soft click from outside. He got off the bed and opened the large wooden wardrobe Alastair had mentioned. There were some clothes hanging neatly in the closet. Yohan felt the fabric of the clothes and felt so unfamiliar. Even the models looked very old-fashioned and strange. He sighed and looked down at his neatly bandaged wound.

"Ah, never mind." Yohan took off his clothes and replaced them with the clothes in the closet.

Yohan stood by the window and looked out. The atmosphere outside was completely different from the world he knew. He rubbed his face again.

"Seriously, am I really lost in another world? This is really crazy."

Yohan opened the window and looked down to see how high it was. He did not want to be trapped in this room without knowing anything. Yohan grinned and jumped out while holding his wound.

"Alright, now it's time to go around," he muttered under his breath.

Yohan felt various pairs of eyes staring at him as he walked and looked around. It was inevitable and he understood it. If anyone from this kingdom got lost in his world, Yohan would also look at him with curiosity.

"Hey, you're the otherworlder who came here with the saint girl, aren't you?"

Yohan stopped walking and turned his head with a frown. "Who are you?"

That person was wearing clothes similar to Alastair's. However, the robe on his back was a different color. Some of the accessories were also not as good as Alastair's.

"Watch your mouth, otherworlder! You should be grateful that the crown prince is still willing to take care of you. You aren't needed in this world. The crown prince could have ordered the knights to execute you."

Yohan scratched his head with a lazy expression. Even in another world, racism still exists. Yes, he should not feel strange. Compared to Yohan's modern world, this world was still a monarchy. When it came to racism, there was obviously more of it here.

"Well, convey my gratitude to the crown prince," Yohan said casually, then walked away past the people.

"Damn it! How dare you ignore us!"

The back of Yohan's clothes were forcefully pulled until his body fell. The men laughed as they surrounded him. If he was in a normal condition, Yohan would not have fallen so easily. Unfortunately, he had a wound on his abdomen and it was still painful.

Yohan let out a long breath. "What are you guys doing, huh?"

One of them pulled out a sword and pointed it right in front of Yohan's face.

"Move just a little, and your neck will be severed."

Yohan glanced at them with a lazy expression. "Really? You're going to do this to me?"

"We don't need any more otherworlders. All we need is the saint girl."

"Look, I don't want to be stuck in your world either. If those summoners of yours could bring me back right now, I would gladly accept."

The sword swing grazed Yohan's left cheek. He glanced at the men with an annoyed expression.

"You guys started it." Yohan muttered under his breath.

With quick movements, Yohan jumped up and ignored the stinging pain in his injured abdomen to kick the chest of the man who scratched his left cheek. With just one kick, the man was pushed back and fell. The other two were surprised by Yohan's sudden attack. They probably did not expect him to be able to fight.

"'Damn it!"

The other two jointly took out their swords and attempted to slash at Yohan. Honestly, Yohan had never fought against someone with a sword. After all, in his modern world, swords were no longer a common weapon. He had a little trouble adjusting, especially with his injured abdomen.

Yohan watched the two men and tried to find an opportunity to punch them both in the solar plexus together. He did not expect that his first day was lost to another world, he had to fight with this kind of injury. It was troublesome.

The sound of metal clashing from their blades rang out loudly. Yohan repeatedly breathed a sigh of relief as he managed to dodge their slashes. He lowered his head and quickly punched the two men in the solar plexus with all his might. In an instant, they both widened their eyes and collapsed.

Yohan blinked softly. "Hey, you guys didn't faint, did you?"

The one who was first kicked by Yohan was shocked to see his two friends both fainting just because of his fist.

"Ah, it's bad," Yohan muttered under his breath. He looked around, making sure no one else saw this. Even though Yohan did not start all this ruckus, he would still be a culprit. He had made two people faint and another person collapse in pain. Moreover, Yohan was an otherworldly person who was clearly not well known by the people in this kingdom. It was easy to twist the facts and say that Yohan was the one who first attacked the three of them.

"Stop!"

Yohan turned his head and widened his eyes when he saw Alastair Indark and a group of knights approaching him.

"Look, it's not what you think. I'm just-"

"Captain Indark! This otherworlder suddenly came and attacked us. Look, two of my friends even fainted because of it."

Yohan sighed. "I knew you would trust your people more, but what he said isn't true." He tried to deny it.

"What is he doing here, Alastair? Didn't the crown prince tell you to keep him in the infirmary?" One of the men standing next to Alastair gave Yohan a displeased glance.

Alastair came forward and pulled Yohan's arm roughly. "You're coming with me," he whispered.

"Alastair, what are you going to do to him?"

Alastair paused. "Shane, take care of those who faint. I'll take care of this otherworlder."

Yohan just surrendered when Alastair pulled his arm forcefully. He briefly looked back and saw the grin of the one person who blamed him for this incident. The man called Shane by Alastair earlier looked confused, but he did what Alastair told him to do.

"Hey, trust me. I'm not-"

"I know," Alastair cut in quickly.

Yohan blinked slowly. "So?"

"You're still guilty of leaving the infirmary without permission."

Yohan rolled his eyes. "Well, I'm sorry about that, but I-"

"Want to join as a hunter?" Alastair asked.

Yohan was confused. "H-Huh?"
