Kimberly felt insulted by her sister's utterance and glared at her.

“What's that supposed to mean? Are you calling me a jobless person."

"No, it's just a joke. Can't I joke with my only sister?” Miranda laughed and reached out to pat Kimberly who was still glaring at her.

"Well, that doesn't sound like a joke. It sounded like an insult.” Kimberly snapped and Miranda decided to soothe her anger.

"I'm sorry. Don't get so angry, it was just a harmless joke. I'll be right back.”

Before Kimberly could say anything else, Miranda had hurried back to work.

“I don't blame you." Kimberly muttered to herself. “It's because I brought myself to this place you call an eatery. If you weren't my sister, I'd not care about you nor who you got married to.”

No matter what a horrible person Kimberly was, she still loved her sister dearly and wanted the best for her.
