Chapter 52

Hailey was not convinced by her friend's response. She did not believe that Jane knew nothing.

“Why is it so hard for me to believe you?"

Hailey furrowed her brows and went closer to her friend, staring directly at her eyes.

“You are lying to me. Now tell me the truth."

Jane looked away and bit her lips. More than anything, she wants to reveal what she knows about Liam to her friend. However, she was scared of what Liam would do to her.

He had threatened to destroy her career, and the other night at the park, he gave her a reminder.

“I'm telling you the truth. I don't know what you're talking about. You're just overthinking it."

Jane turned back to face her friend before replying. “Look, Hailey, go home and rest. You should stop bothering yourself about this. I think it's just a coincidence."

“No." Hailey refused to believe that Liam and Sean's meeting at the bar was a coincidence.
