Chapter Seventeen

Enrico kept apologizing for disrespecting Ethan.

"I apologize. I am your grandfather's best buddy, and if I had known you were his grandchild, this would not have occurred." He pleaded.

Ethan looked at him with contempt. He was disgusted that he only perceived the need to be respectful to persons in positions of power in the city. He didn't care about people who didn't possess businesses or millions of money. He knew that if he had been impoverished, he would have thrown him out right away.

He enjoyed seeing prideful individuals seek forgiveness for their misdeeds. It was exciting to see them struggle with their egos when they admitted their mistakes. Watching him gave him the same satisfaction he got when Arnold knelt at his feet.

He took his phone from his pocket and looked at the time. It was getting late, and he needed to get home as soon as possible. He couldn't stay out for so long, even though he was enjoying this.
