"You should be ashamed to call her your wife when you cannot offer her anything," Mason said and the room became quiet the air getting dense.

An expression of disbelief crossed his face, causing his eyebrows to arch in a questioning manner. He stared directly at Ethan, silently daring him to utter a single word. In response, Ethan tightly balled his hand into a fist, exerting immense pressure that threatened to break the delicate skin and draw blood.

Desperately trying to conceal the waves of anger surging within him, he strategically folded his hands behind his back, masking his true emotions from prying eyes.
