Siege

It was Biblical.

The skies were littered with scores of Burning white light and An Evil purplish hue.

The two opposing forces danced around, punishing their nemesis for claiming authority in their various spaces.

Fire and Brimstone, Ashes and dust, crazed laughter overwhelmed her senses.

There were cries of iron and steel, Pools of red and black, and debris of ruined buildings surrounding Cecelia.

She quickly regretted her decision of braving the outside, she turned to face the Spectres.... alas her guards had already departed, they joined their brethren in the night sky.

Cecelia swore she could hear their sinister cackle as they raced to the heavens above, she sighed as her best chance of protection sailed away from her.

She squinted her one good eye and looked around, There was fire slowly rising, all the buildings around her were on fire, Screams of desperate citizens trying to find safety.
