Amanda is Warned

            “Are you kidding me? Jane said…that Bella said that the excursion was cancelled” Amanda said and looked at Jane who looked away immediately.

“What are you saying Amanda?” Fraser asked with an imperceptible scoff.

Jake looked at Jane who was busy picking her index fingernail with a toothpick she saved after eating her fries.

“What? It was our idea…by the way”   she replied Jake and he blinked.

“I said after the excursion not before the excursion”

“I don’t wanna go to that dumb excursion too, I had no other choice too” Jane giggled.

“Okay…what is going on here?” Amanda was confused.

“Don’t be scared about what I’m about to say right now okay, just….’

“And why do I have to hear it from you Fraser? Jake what is going on here?’

“Look Amanda…..”                    

“Look Amanda, I’m the leader in this our little adventure okay, you don’t have to disrespect your leader”

“I knew you will say that, I was waiting for it”

“Jane!!!” Amanda shouted and stood up from the couch.

“Why are you shouting my name?”

“What the fuck is wrong with you? You tricked me that the excursion was cancelled and you brought me down here for some shit I don’t know about..and..and…what the fuck is really wrong with you Jane?” Amanda bawls.

“What the fuck is wrong with me? You wanna know what the fuck is really wrong with me? I will tell you what is wrong with me…I love you as a friend and I can’t do things without you and if that irritates you or pisses you off, fuck you” Jane replied angrily, leaving the shop.

Jake looked at Fraser who looked back and shrugged imperceptibly.

“And where do you think you are going”

“To find peace somewhere else with someone else”

“I’m here Jane’ Fraser giggled, raising her left hand up.

“Fuck you” she said, still going.

“You brought me here Jane”

“I don’t know what you are talki….” David opened the door before Jane could finish what she wanted to say.

“Fine…fine...it keeps getting worse and worse” she frowned and went back.

“David!” Amanda was surprised to see David at the store.

“Thought you went for a excursion?”

“She don’t wanna go for that excursion, we all never wanna go for it”

“Don’t speak for me Jane, speak for yourself please” Fraser groaned.

“So…what are you doing here?”

“You invited me over to this address ten minutes ago” David replied, chuckled happily to Amanda and rubbed his right hand on his rough brown hair.

Amanda was confused and surprised at the same time.

“What did you say?” Amanda chuckled, staring at David who was busy staring at her.

“You invited me over to this address ten minutes ago” David replied again, still staring at Amanda who was also staring at him.

Amanda looked at Jane who was walking over to her with a phone.

“Took it when I hugged you” she whispered to Amanda and gave her the phone.

“Yea yea…I was wondering…maybe… you know”

“We were planning on going for an adventure in…”

“Adventure? Why do you keep calling it an adventure?’

“Because it’s an adventure Amanda” Fraser yawned.

“What adventure are you both talking about?” David asked Jake and Fraser.

“Come on… let’s go, we,ve stayed longer a lot” Jake said, leaving through the same back door.

“Y’all coming?” Fraser asked, following Jake.

“I know you don’t wanna go for that school excursion, come on let’s go. Don’t blame me for any shit” Jane said and followed them.

“Don’t tell me you’re gonna….”

“Come on, let’s go with them” David grabbed Amanda’s hand and they followed the others.

            Jane, Amanda, Jake, David and Fraser arrived at a very old white house with a big white gate. The white gate was widely opened with green plants growing all over the gate. The white house has obtained same plants on its wall. The big compound was filled with dirt from dead leaves and some old wooden benches were scattered in the compound.

‘And….what are we doing here?” Amanda broke the silence

“Work” Jane sighed heavily.

“What do you mean?” David added.

“Okay listen, change of plan, we go in group instead but don’t forget that….”

“Wait..wait..wait…wait” Amanda cuts Jake off.

“What plan are we talking about here?” she asked them.

“Didn’t you hear about the chocolate boy this morning? Or do you think that the school excursion is better than death” Fraser faced Amanda.

“What is wrong with you guys? That was just news and it has nothing to do with you guys?”

“Oh you think so? Elsa is a girl like you and I who died mysteriously this morning, is that just…a news too?” Jane asked Amanda.

‘That has nothing to do with me? That can’t drag me into some unplanned plan that I don’t know about and…and do some shits I hardly cares for”

“What the fuck!” Fraser frowned.

‘Jake what ya guys up to?” David requested from Jake.

“Charlie told us what happened to Elsa” Jake replied.

“Who’s Charlie?” David asked.

“Elsa’s boyfriend”

“Elsa’s boyfriend? And why is he not here with us?” Amanda asked with a scoff.

“He’s hiding in a hospital” Fraser replied.

“What is that?” David asked loudly and coughed.

“He is a druggist” Jane joined.

“And you believed him. You said it yourself…he is a nerd Jake’

“I believed what he said, he meant it. He was with Elsa and her friends when it all started”

“Oh my God’ Amanda groaned.

“So what’s ya point Jake”

“It’s a useless point David trust me, let’s get outta here’ Amanda turned back and began to leave.

“Amanda!!” Jane called.

“She’s always like this” Fraser cried.

“Stopping that chocolate girl involves going into this house”

“I’m not doing that Jake, I’d rather go to the boring excursion than this” Amanda replied as she was leaving them.

“Fuck!” Fraser groans.

“Jake we will discuss about this later okay…you know, some other time” David followed Amanda.

“When it’s late right?” Jane chuckled slowly and they all left.
