Shut up, Reeds

Outside the bar, Reeds waited patiently. He was conflicted between leaving or going back to his wife. 

Just then, Archibald called his phone. Reeds answered on the first ring. "Is it done, Archibald?" 

"As swiftly as possible, young master," Archibald replied. "The money has been transferred to your wife's company account just as instructed." 

"Good," Reeds passed a hand over his face. "Anything else?" 

"One of our sources who works in the Black Lotus Bar Just informed us that she overheard Zayn taking credit for the transfer made to your wife's company. She also mentioned she saw him slip something in her drink." 

Reeds stiffened in shock. “That bastard,” he balled his hands into fists. "Did you find out what that substance was?"  

Archibald replied, "I believe that's an aphrodisiac, young master. Earlier today, Zayn Raymond had reportedly purchased aphrodisiacs. I received Information he has secretly been taking women to drink and forcing himself on themselves afterwards. He's had over sixteen victims and your wife could be next." 

Something like lightning struck Reeds at that moment. 

He realized this was all Zayn's scheme to sleep with his wife. Zayn had set everything up; the late night drinks and the promise of investment. 

Zayn must've convinced Karyl to stay out late with him and Karyl's desperation blinded her from seeing Zayn's true intentions. 

"Karyl's in danger," Reeds thought aloud. "I misunderstood her. She was only going out with him in order to secure an investment order. She didn't realize she had walked into a trap. I must save her immediately."

Zayn's heart was racing with excitement as Karyl brought the tip of the glass to her lips. 

Just as she was about to take a sip, Reeds kicked open the door to the bar and charged in like an enraged bull. 

Seeing his wife was about to drink, he immediately grabbed a nearby trash bin and rushed over to Zayn. 

In the blink of an eye, Reeds smashed the trash bin over Raymond's head with every strength he could muster. 

The impact of the bin caused Zayn to scream in pain. 

"Oh my God!" Zayn shouted, stumbling to the floor. "What the hell did you do to me, you bastard?" 

Reeds stood over him, breathing hard. "How dare you try to drug my wife, you monkey?" 

Everything happened so fast, like clockwork. Karyl was shocked at Reed's actions. She had never seen him act so violently before like this. 

She set her glass down and stood up, her eyes burning with fury. "Reeds, this is the last straw. What has come over you? Do you have any idea what you've done? You've ruined everything." 

Reeds turned to her, his face hard. "You should be thankful I returned just in time to save you or else you would've found yourself on Zayn's bed by morning." 

Karyl groaned in frustration. "What's your problem, Reeds? Why do you always want to make life so difficult for me? You said we should split up. Why are you back all of a sudden?" 

Reeds met her gaze with a steely resolve burning in his eyes. "Because I cannot just stand by and let another man defile the mother of my daughter. Although you despise me, you're still my wife." 

Karyl's expression softened a little. "Reeds, you didn't have to act so violently towards Mr. Raymond. I'm sure he posed no harm to me." 

"Zayn is not all he seems, Karyl," Reeds said pointing at her drink on the counter. "He drugged your drink with aphrodisiacs so that he could sleep with you." 

Karyl's eyes hardened. "But that's impossible. Mr. Raymond is a respectable gentleman. He would never do such a thing." 

"You think I'm making this up?" Reeds snapped at her. "He's had sixteen victims in the past. If I hadn't stepped in, you would have been taken advantage of against your own will." 

"Don't listen to him," Zayn said, slowly rising to his feet. A thin line of blood ran down from his head where Reeds smashed him. "He's lying. He's trying to set me up." 

By now, a small crowd inside the bar was gathering around them. 

Zayn saw this as an opportunity to destroy Reeds. "Reeds, I'll have you arrested and sued for assault and false accusations. You have a lot of nerve to hit me. You've just crossed the line. Get ready to die." 

"Cross the line?" Reeds laughed, stepping closer to Zayn. His voice grew husky. "I know what kind of man you are, Zayn. You're a sick sexual predator. Have you no shame drugging a married woman with a family?" 

Zayn backed away as Reed's shadow hovered around him. He was asserting his dominance over Zayn. 

Zayn didn't like this. If Reeds apply any more pressure on him, he'll be exposed. 

Suddenly, someone yelled at Reeds. "Reeds, shut up! That's enough!" It was Karyl.
