Chapter 15 - A man of his word

Dalton von Rozental, a kind and warm person.

At least that's how the world viewed him.

'There can't be anything more contrast than that', Thought Scarlet seeing Dalton Von Rozental in midst of the reporters.

With black hair and brown eyes, he was quite a good-looking man, who would leave quite a good impression at first sight.

But the reality couldn't be any further from that...

In reality, He was an outcast among the Rozentals, being born as the second child of Aden Von Rozental's third wife, he was treated as a worthless fool.

All the nine children of the Rozental family, except Dalton, were geniuses who excelled in various fields. 

Amidst Geniuses like them, Dalton was like a rotten apple among the fresh fruits fruits, though the apple may seem like a luxury for commoners, a rotten fruit nonetheless was disregarded.

Even though he was a C-rank hunter at the age of 25, he wasn't given any attention by his father or family. It was precisely because he was overshadowed by the monstrous talent of his siblings. Amidst his monstrous siblings, he was seen as nothing but ordinary.

 And that's when Eren, a weak, non-awakened man entered the Rozental household as the lover of his beautiful and charistamatic sister.

Seeing someone weaker than him among his family, gave him a kind of relief. 

Dalton Von Rozental who was oppressed by his siblings all his life, for the first time found joy in the feeling of trampling over others.

At first, it was just because he found someone weaker than him, but as the days continued, he started to beat up Eren for fun. It was to the point that beating Eren had become a form of entertainment for him!

"Look who is here, if it isn't my dear Brother-in-law?"

Dalton exclaimed seeing Eren who was walking towards the association and said with a warm smile on his face.

Eren who heard him stopped in his tracks.

'Damn!'

He cursed as his plan to go in without his notice failed.

He casually turned around trying to maintain his calm, but as soon as he faced Dalton who was coming toward him, he was shocked!

The 6th son of Rozentals, although he has a considerable amount of talent, being born among the Rozentals had made his performance overshadowed by his siblings, he has a deep hate for his siblings whom he believes to be the ones, the reason for his situation and sufferings, A hyena born among the Tigers.

The status window! it appeared again!

His skill "The Eye of Vengeance" was invoked once again without his will.

'So that was the reason why he was abusing me...'

Eren thought as he read through the status window, he always thought that the reason Dalton was acting like that was that he couldn't accept the fact that his sister married someone ordinary like Eren, but to think it wasn't because of that but rather due to his inferiority complex.

'I suddenly feel a little sympathetic for him'

Only a genius could understand a genius and likewise, only a loser can understand another loser.

Anyway, Eren brushed off the status window and gave a fake smile to Dalton who was just steps ahead of him.

"My dear Brother-in-law!"

Dalton smiled broadly as he hugged Eren.

Eren too hugged him back as so many cameras were on them right now, whatever may they have in between them, the image of Rozentals should never be tarnished among the society or else their heads may roll the next day!!

"I was told that you went on a vacation, I have been bored without you...brother..in..law"

Dalton whispered in his ears as he continued "I forgot to ask you, but why are you here today? don't tell me you decided to help sister Julia while recruiting this irregular into her faction:"

In the silent war for inheriting Lord Rozental's assets, The children of Rozentals made their own factions and strengthened them for the day to come when they fight!

It was the sad truth that the siblings born to the same father would end up fighting each other, but nothing could be done!

Eren was silent to his provocations, he just kept a smile on his face as he looked at the cameras.

"You know why I beat you up all the time? It's because of that damn smile on your face, that wouldn't leave even when your face becomes a bloody mess"

Likewise, Dalton also kept whispering while hugging him with one hand and smiling at the cameras.

"Now that I have met my sweet brother-in-law after so many days, we are bound to have some fun, meet me at my car parking...or else....."

he was about to say something when his secretary beside him intervened, "Sir, an urgent call!" He said while sweating profusely.

Eren who was looking at the cameras turned his head to face Dalton with even wider grin on his face, "I know you are thinking about beating me again brother-in-law, but if you don't leave now, you may receive a beating from someone else"

He said looking at the phone in Dalton's secretory hand.

The smile on Dalton's face disappeared all of sudden.

In the last year, no matter how much he beat up Eren, never once has he had the courage to talk back to him but now.....He was talking back to him!!

He was about to burst out in anger when his secretary intervened again!

"Sir it is urget, Lord Rozental is on hold!"

The secretory said Sweeting profusely, his face looked terrified that he felt like he would die if he don't hand over the phone to him immediately.

Dalton who heard him also got shocked! 

The last time his father called him.....wait!...did he ever call him? why was a man like that calling him now? 

Dalton had too many questions but didn't have the courage to make the man on the other side of the phone wait any longer, so he hurriedly took the phone from his secretary's hand and moved to where his car was parked.

Eren watched the back of frustrated Dalton who was running away frustratedly and smiled with content.

"He is a man of his word indeed"

He said remembering the words that his father-in-law said to him, 'Six Months, I will make sure no one in the house of Rozental will disturb you!'

Scarlet who was beside him heard him, but decided to stay silent!

Eren moved forward coming closer to the reporters as he said with a wink!

"Wait for the hot news!"
