On getting back to the mansion, Oscar strolled into the building, his pace as slow as possible, thinking about the outcome of today's event. He still couldn't get over it regardless of what he was told about the kind of man that Aiden was.

His absent-mindedness caused him to wander into the kitchen. Saying that he was absent-minded is just a random statement because somehow he knew he was headed there, intending to pick a glass for a drink.

When he got into the kitchen, he saw his ex-wife working with a fellow maid, both ladies were making a meal, and the aroma filled the room. Oscar averted his gaze from his ex-wife and walked up to the cabinet to pick a glass.

When the maid noticed him, she nudged Ellen to go and attend to him, and begrudgingly Ellen left the counter where she stood to meet him.

"Can I help you with anything, sir?" She asked, stuttering as she said each word. It had been less than two weeks, yet she wasn't comfortable enough, she would never be.
