Ch 03. The Pursuit Target

Li Hanshen didn't want anything to do with it, so he casually entered the elevator ignoring the stares of the people who were propped up, they were clearly frightened and worried. They don't want any victims to fall right before their eyes.

"Who are you?! Get down, quick!" As soon as one of the members in black noticed that someone else was ignoring his orders, he immediately pointed his gun at Li Hanshen and Yu Mei.

Li Hanshen didn't utter a word, he only gave a soft snort before the black robed man's knees went limp in an instant. The two eyes of the man dressed in all black stared at Li Hanshen with a look of confusion and disbelief. At first glance a question arose in her mind, was it the man who caused her to lose her strength? But how come?!

Li Hanshen no longer cared about the man and directly entered the elevator and left the black clothed man just like that.

As Li Hanshen and Yu Mei disappeared from his sight, the man in black mysteriously felt like crying. "Hey, what are you doing?! How can you just let someone else go?!" the member leader shouted at the man, the man himself just stared at the leader without saying anything.

Li Hanshen who was already in the elevator just shook his head slowly, 'Even though I'm already very strong, others still don't know about it. It's only natural that other people underestimate me...' he thought to himself.

While Li Hanshen and Yu Mei were heading to the hotel room that Li Hanshen booked, a whitish-black-haired middle-aged man was in a room inside the hotel accompanied by a woman in a navy blue suit.

"Mr. Han, it seems that the other party has noticed our hiding place. But the other party moved very quickly and immediately mobilized the entire core team to capture you... It will be difficult to get out of this situation..." the woman said to the middle-aged man by her side.

"That damn Wu! He actually wants to get his hands on the formula I developed? No hope!" he muttered irritably, Yu Hanshuo looked at Shangguan Ling then said, “Is there really no way for us to escape from here? Don't let them get hold of this formula…”

The woman named Shangguan Ling looked around, then she turned her gaze back to Yu Hanshuo, “Yes, but we need someone else's help.

Yu Hanshuo scratched at his non-itchy hair in annoyance, “then what should we do? If this formula were to fall into their hands, the medical world would be in chaos, in fact the whole world would be messed up because of it!”

Shangguan Ling couldn't help but rubbed her face roughly, "Okay, sir, you'd better wait here, I'll check the situation outside. There might be a route they aren't guarding..."

Even though Yu Hanshuo looked reluctant, he still nodded his head. Their main focus was to get out of this hotel, or else they would be caught by the other party.

Shangguan Ling rushed out of the hotel room, trying not to make any noise. Her small and slender body made it easy for her to move around unhindered, she kept pacing along the hotel corridors making sure no one else saw her.

"The Jingling Medical Center really went all out to obtain that pill formula, it sucks!" She grumbled while continuing to explore further.

When a pair of legs were about to pass through the elevator area, suddenly the elevator door opened. Shangguan Ling immediately hide behind the wall, worried that the other party would find out about his whereabouts. But when his pair of eyes saw the two silhouettes of people wearing long robes, Shangguan Ling immediately became alert.

"Are they the old man's orders?" muttered Shangguan Ling.

Li Hanshen, who had just entered the 5th floor corridor, suddenly stopped in his tracks. He turned around when he felt someone staring at him from behind the wall, but he only glanced at the wall briefly before walking back together with Yu Mei.

"Why did Your Highness let that woman stare at Your Highness like that? Shall I give her a punishment?"

Hearing Yu Mei's words, Li Hanshen just shook his head, "There's no need. She's probably the person the people downstairs were looking for, so she seems to be wary of us."

The steps of the two of them stopped, Yu Mei asked again, "but that human is very brave, she even intended to hurt His Majesty..." she said. Yu Mei turned around, looking at Shangguan Ling who stood frozen right behind them. Shangguan Ling's eyes clearly showed shock, she wanted to scream and run, but she couldn't do anything at that time.

Li Hanshen also turned around, his pair of golden eyes stared into Shangguan Ling's two eyes. There was a trace of coldness in his golden eyeballs that made Shangguan Ling's entire body feel limp in an instant.

“Forget the existence of the two of us…” Li Hanshen said quietly. Then he walked back together with Yu Mei leaving Shangguan Ling who was still standing still unable to move a bit.

After Li Hanshen and Yu Mei's silhouettes disappeared, Shangguan Ling fell down. He shook his head lightly as he felt a little dizzy, "what happened? Why did I fall over?" her monologue.

Yu Hanshao who was still in the hotel room frowned, “what took her so long? Could she have been caught by those old Wu people? Let's hope not…”

Amidst his confusion, his flip phone rang, the name 'Professor Gu' was printed on the flip phone's screen. Yu Hanshao immediately picked him up.

"Mr. Han? Thank goodness you haven't been caught yet..." Professor Gu said on the other end, his tone showing that he was relieved when his call answered.

“What's there to be thankful for?! We have to hide now, Shangguan Ling herself even said that the chances of escaping this time are very small. I really don't know what to do now…” Yu Hanshuo replied angrily.

"For now don't worry, we will send a helicopter for you, it should arrive in half an hour. Can you guys hold out that long?" asked Professor Gu.

“Half an hour? I guarantee that within 5 minutes they will be in front of my hotel room. Alright, I'll try to protect myself during that half hour, the sooner the better,” Yu Hanshuo replied.

The call was disconnected. Yu Hanshuo ran to the window facing outside, the sight of the black cars surrounding the hotel looked attractive to others, but terrifying to him. "Damn it! I can't keep waiting for Shangguan Ling, I have to make my move myself!"

With determination, Yu Hanshao immediately opened the door of his hotel room and rushed up the emergency stairs while trying to find Shangguan Ling. Just as Shangguan Ling was just relieving her headache, she saw Yu Hanshuo running towards her.

"Hurry up, we don't have much time left. They will be on this floor soon, we can't keep hiding, we have to run!" Yu Hanshuo said to Shangguan Ling.

"But, Master Han shouldn't be going alone like this, you should be waiting for me," Shangguan Ling replied sounding regretful.

“Never mind, Professor Gu is sending a helicopter over here anyway. We only need to buy half an hour before we can dash from here,” Yu Hanshuo replied.

While Yu Hanshuo and Shangguan Ling were hatching a plan to buy time, a group of men in black downstairs who were going upstairs, planted bombs at various points in the hotel.

"Number 5 is in place!"

"Good, the chairman himself will give the command to activate all those bombs. Don't press anything as long as the chairman has not given any orders!"

"Ready!"

In the van, Jiu Chen, the leader of the Black Tiger group monitors the entire hotel via a camera attached to the drone their team flies.

"There's movement on the sixth floor! Looks like the target is headed upstairs!"

Jiu Chen immediately turned his gaze to the monitor screen displaying the view from the other drones, he did see two people who seemed to be in a hurry running to the fire escape area.

"There they are! Don't let them get out of range of the drones!" he said to all the drone controllers in the car. He received an order from his superior that his mission this time was very important for the advancement of the medical world worldwide, so he had to complete his mission without any hindrance.

"Wait, I think I saw someone else on the sixth floor..." said one of the drone controllers, he moved the drone under his control to get closer to the other two people on the sixth floor.

However, before the camera caught the faces of the two people, the drone suddenly exploded in the air, which amazed the controllers. "What happened? Why did the drone suddenly explode?" he muttered in surprise.

Li Hanshen, who had just entered the suite room he ordered, looked out the large window. He took a deep breath before another explosion was heard outside, in less than a second, all the drones surrounding the hotel exploded instantly.

"Really troublesome…" he muttered. Yu Mei, who saw that, couldn't help but get annoyed. Anyone who dares to interfere with His Majesty, then they have to deal with it.

Yu Hanshuo and Shangguan Ling who were running on the fire escape couldn't help but hear the sound of drone explosions. Both of them frowned confused, what happened? Was there a second party helping them secretly, but who?
