Ch 08. Shangguan Ling's Suspicions

After what happened in the supermarket, Chen He no longer looked at Yu Mei as an ordinary girl who could only take advantage of her beauty. He began to look at Yu Mei as someone he admired from the bottom of his heart. This was the first time he saw a girl so young that she could easily defeat two robbers at once, especially since the robbers had firearms in their hands.

But he didn't follow her into the apartment and only helped her get all her groceries out of the trunk of the taxi. As soon as Yu Mei entered the apartment building with her groceries, Chen He realized that he had forgotten something.

"Oh my! I forgot to ask her name. Never mind, if it's meant to be, we may meet again next time..." he muttered with a smile in the courtyard of the apartment building.

Yu Mei opened the door to the apartment, as usual she saw Li Hanshen who was still faithfully sitting on the sofa while watching the television which was showing his favorite show, Pororo. I don't know, but it seems like his master's taste is quite childish. But Yu Mei didn't dare to speak her mind even though Li Hanshen knew what she was thinking, how could a creator not know the content of his own creation?

"Looks like you've just met a new person..." Li Hanshen said without looking at Yu Mei.

"A new person? Ah, do you mean that guy from earlier? I don't even know his name, and it also seems like he himself wants to get close to me. By the way, do all humans really like noise? Just now there were two strange masked people making a ruckus inside the supermarket. I really don't understand humans, they wish for peace but always have so many bad scenarios in their heads. Still with her sweet smile, Yu Mei stood up then said, "then I'll cook for lunch, master!"

While Yu Mei was cooking food for her master, upstairs on the 8th floor, Yu Hanshao and his entourage had arrived at their new apartment. Shangguan Ling, although reluctant, chose to stay in Shanghai because of what Professor Gu said.

Although the apartment was not as spacious as the one in Linyi, it was enough to accommodate three adults with a lot of luggage. As the only woman, Shangguan Ling got her own room while Professor Gu had to sleep in the living room together with Yu Hanshao.

There were actually two other rooms, but Yu Hanshao said that they should be used as labs or other rooms rather than bedrooms.

"There are still a lot of things to buy actually. But there's no way we can go shopping at the supermarket in our current state, using an online shopping system would take a lot of time and I hate waiting for things..." said Shangguan Ling as she looked at the items in the apartment that had been neatly organized.

Shangguan Ling's eyes lit up, "Great idea! How about Professor Gu buys a supermarket in Shanghai? That way we won't have to sneakily buy anything."

"Aw!" Shangguan Ling winced softly as a book slammed into the back of her head. She turned around to see Yu Hanshao who was also staring at her with a flat look.

Hearing Yu Hanshao's shout, Shangguan Ling immediately fell silent. Right, it seemed like she was too ungrateful here. She admitted this was indeed her fault, but could the old man not yell at her? It felt annoying.

Once at the crossroads, Shangguan Ling immediately hid behind the wall ready to intercept the girl. But in the next second, someone tapped her on the shoulder. She turned her head and saw that the girl who was supposed to be slower than her was now right behind her.

"Looks like you want to talk to me alone?" asked Yu Mei with a sweet smile that held a million dangers behind it.
