14. The Father

“Ha!” Floyd laughs nervously and walks away from Johson. He stopped when he was at the end of the sofa then looked back at Johnson again. “H-How can you be so sure? What if I tattooed it? You can’t just say that I am your son because of the birthmark that everyone could have.”

He was still hesitant. He was a prisoner yesterday and now, some wealthy man is claiming to be his father. Everything is too much for Floyd as he thought about it.

Johnson sighs. He took his shirt and wore it again in front of Floyd. “I understand you, son. But I assure you that it is our clan only that has this birthmark. We already confirm it for we never encountered another person that is not related to us who has this.” He looks at Floyd straight. “Okay. If you are really that hesitant, we can do a DNA test so I can assure you.”

Floyd sat down again and touched his forehead. “Okay. Okay. I guess it’s much better. I’m sorry. I-It’s just too much now for me. I-I’ve been stressed out.”
