75. Nothing is free

Floyd woke up with his head aching. He grunted in pain as he touched his head. He remembered that he was at Minerva’s place. But when he slightly opened his eyes, he was already in his room. Floyd frowned and closed his eyes again.

‘How did I go home?’

“You’re awake! Finally.”

Floyd opened his eyes again when he heard a voice. He looked around and saw Roxane standing on the side of his bed. Her arms were crossed and her eyebrows were knitted. She was looking at him like he had done something wrong.

“Roxane? What are you doing in my room?” he asked in his hoarse voice. He coughed a little when he felt his throat was dry.

Roxane rolled her eyes. “Do you even know how you got home last night? My gosh, Floyd! And why are you with that girl? Really? What were you thinking?!”

Floyd did not answer Roxane. He massaged his forehead. “Jude!” he called in a faint voice. He coughs again.

“He’s not there, Floyd.”

“Where is he?”

“I don’t know. Some men came and Jude rushed out. I came here
