CHAPTER 146

The two guards were absolutely stunned by the manager’s aggressive attack. Both of their noses were bleeding, but they got back up and asked, “Sir, what did we do?”

The manager punched both of them in the nose, making them cringe in the pain. He then ignored them and went to Russell. “Forgive me if they’ve been rude, sir. I’ll fire them straight away. I’ll see to it that they won’t be able to get any job for the next six months.”

The guards were petrified to hear those words.

“Sir!” They ran to the manager and grabbed his feet and begged. “Please don’t do this to us. If we’re jobless for six months, we’ll become homeless.” They had debts to take care of, so they couldn’t afford to lose their jobs let alone be unable to get any job for the next six months.

“Why are you begging me?” the manager barked at them. “Beg this gentleman that you’ve insulted!”
