CHAPTER 355

The life on the street that night proved to be a tiring one for Russell. He had to fight a dog as well as a couple of strangers who came to him with ill intentions.

Russell was no longer wearing a suit, which he had left at Tyler’s house. So, naturally, people were giving him different looks when he was sitting alone out in the street.

He didn’t know when he fell asleep, but when he woke up the next morning, there was a paper bag next to him, with food and drinks inside. He looked around but couldn’t see anyone in particular that might have helped him.

Though the thought that the food might be poisoned crossed his mind, he was already quite hungry because he hadn’t eaten in almost 24 hours, so he put his fears and doubts aside and finished his meal. There was still an extra burger left, and he left it with the dog that had attacked him the previous night. The dog happily picked the burger with its mouth and danced as it ran down the footpath.
