“My dad is crazy, and my mom is crazier. They are two of the most selfish people I’ve ever seen,” Jessica said. “Compared to them, Jennifer doesn't even come close.”

“Still, your mother carried you for about forty weeks in her womb,” Elora reasoned. “There are many women these days who think of pregnancy as an inconvenience. If your mom and dad hadn’t taken care of you when you were in the womb, you wouldn’t have been born, Jessica. Don’t forget that. And giving birth itself is a very painful process, though the joy that follows after you see your child completes overshadows everything else. There isn’t another experience like it in this world.”
