Regan initially got the better of Roman, but then the toll of using the hacking system was too much on his old, sick body. He began to cough in the middle of the fight, and this gave plenty of opportunities for Roman to land some good blows on Regan and break his bones.

But what astonished Roman was that Regan still tried to stand and fight.

Roman frowned. “I don’t get it. What’s making you fight so hard?”

Roman screamed like he never did before. It was humiliating for him that he was being hurt like this by a mere old man when Roman had the history of beating elephants single-handedly.

Regan couldn’t use his skill for longer than three seconds now. And then he was down on his knees, bleeding from his nose. His sight also turned blurry.
