Regan stepped back and let Russell take the stage to speak to everyone.

“I never thought I’d be on a stage like this, not even in my dreams,” Russell said. “I didn’t prepare any speech, so please bear with me.

“When I was in college, I believed that the corporate world is run by crazy people because the HR guys that interviewed me in college were all not just eccentric but unnerving. More mechanical and less flexible. They acted like they weren’t humans. I thought if these guys are like this, then how would their bosses be? Wouldn’t they be more unnerving?

“I was not a bright student, but I was not really a poor student, either. I made it to the final stages of fourteen companies, and I’ve failed in all those. I didn’t tell this to anyone in my family, either, because I probably wouldn’t have joined those companies even if I had gotten a job.
