Seeing the attitude of the little boy who was initially afraid and reluctant to speak, but when he mentioned the opportunity for Eadric Rong to gain strength by manipulating his Energy Pearl, the older man's face visibly changed.

If he had looked horrible and cruel before, he would have been laughing aloud this time.

"Hahaha!"

The sound echoed, making the whole cave seem as if it might collapse.

Eadric Rong naturally became scared; he stepped back and kept his distance.

"Elder, please don't laugh. This cave could collapse, and we'll both die," Eadric Rong said in a panic.

After laughing and scaring Eadric Rong, the ugly older man said mockingly.

"Little boy. You're still a child but are already as cunning as a fox. You seemed scared at first, but once you heard that you could restore your ability to cultivate by procuring new Energy Pearls, you suddenly became nice to me. Even calling me Elder!"

After speaking, the older man looked at Eadric Rong with two blank eyes. Eadric Rong's face then turned red; he fell into shame.

"B-not what I meant. If I am not calling you Elder, then what should I call you?" said Eadric Rong, looking embarrassed.

However, the older man didn't stop mocking him. He continued to spout words of condemnation, making Eadric Rong even more embarrassed.

"You're as cunning as a black cult leader, even though you claim to be a disciple of the supposedly white and straight Wudang Sect!"

Hearing the criticism, Eadric Rong's face seemed to turn red. He was on the verge of tears.

Please note that in this Wriston Kingdom, seven major sects are referred to as white cult leaders. Those sects are the Wudang Sect, Silver Lotus Temple, Kunlun Sect, Flower Sword Sect, Gobi Desert Sect, Khong Tong Sect, Zhonglu Sect, and Silver Moon Sect.

Among the eight white sects, the Wudang Sect is the most powerful. Its swordsmanship and empty-handed skills, called pure air training, utilize a balance called Tai Chi in today's times. Unlike the martial techniques of the Silver Lotus Temple Sect, which tend to be aggressive, all the skills in the Wudang Sect are gentle but extremely deadly.

That is why, since its founding by Thio Sam Hong in ancient times, the Wudang Sect has slowly but surely become the leader of the martial world.

All Wudang Sect disciples are taught to be honest and defend the truth based on the compassionate nature of the Tao.

That's why this child couldn't hold back the tears when Eadric Rong was mocked as a small, cunning, and evil fox. Being a hero is a fundamental principle.

However, this ugly-faced older man didn't spare Eadric Rong. He repeatedly called Eadric Rong cunning and unworthy of being a disciple in the Wudang Sect.

"I think you're more suited to be a cult disciple!" said the old man, ending his reproach.

At that moment, it became quiet in the cave.

Eadric Rong was angry at being mocked as a sneaky kid and a potential disciple of someone from the black magic cult. The older man was now silent. For a long time, he sensed the little boy's anger.

After a few moments of silence, the older man finally said.

"Alright, I'll explain how a deformed boy like you can possess a Pearl Core and train to gather pure air. Are you willing?"

With a face that still looked angry, Eadric Rong turned away. Then, carefully asked.

"I'm willing to hear your explanation, Elder. But then again, if you still refer to me as a little black cultist, I won't talk to you anymore! Even if you want to explain how to obtain the Energy Pearl!" said Eadric Rong haughtily.

Hearing that, the older man's face changed. He was secretly amazed.

"Even though he's a small child with no abilities, his self-esteem is high. He seems to be a good match for me. Is this a sign that the heavens still love me by sending someone who will one day be my heir?" the old man thought tremblingly.

If only Eadric Rong knew who this older man was, perhaps he would be terrified.

Fifty years ago, this older man was known as Kyron Mo. At that time, the martial world was divided into two great powers: the white school warrior power and the black school warrior power. Kyron Mo was the kingpin of the black sect, nicknamed the Demon Umbrella.

As the head of the black sect warriors, the name Umbrella Demon is a scary thing to say. He kills indiscriminately. No matter who it is, that person will perish if he wants to eliminate it.
