"No" Alex gave his answer.

And the lie detector flashed a green colour, meaning Alex is telling the truth.

"What?!"

"But you are the only person close to him at that time, isn't it?" The general is confused.

"Yes, but he have fought many people before meeting me and everyone knows that I am not a strong individual, how can I severely injured a second year? Besides, the lie detector has declared all I said as the truth? or the lie detector lied?"

"I am innocent, can I go now ?"

The general looks like he still did not believe that but he still give Alex the go sign.

"Thank you, sir" With that Alex left the office and is on his way to go back to his room.

After walking for a bit, Alex has finally arrived at the door of his room.

"So, how did it go?" The moment he opened the door, Luke asked him, it seems that they have been waiting for him.

"Since you can see that I am back, guessed?"

"Wow! It work" Reginold excitedly exclaimed.

"Ah, not that one, their is another factor"

"What is it?" All of them are surprised except Jake, which seems to have guessed it already.

"Well, you might not believe me if I tell you"

"Just say it"

"Ha, do you know how a Vr game interface work?"

"Yup, that's common knowledge"

"I have something like that in me, a voice and visual inside me" Alex felt is time to stop hiding it from them.

"That's why sometimes, your eyes suddenly look blank and unfocused" Reginold said in realisation.

"Forget about all of that, let's think of a way to earn money"

"Why did you want to earn money?" Reginold asked.

"Even without a Reason, it is still good to earn money" Alex happily said.

"Hmmm"

They all rack their brain for some time but they can't come up with a method to earn money.

"Hahahaha, lets meet in our meeting place" Luke suddenly said.

"Have you come up with something?" Alex asked.

"Yes and I will not say anything here until we are all together"

"Sorry Reginold, we will trouble you with calling Yifang" Alex first apologised before saying that and running out.

"DAMN YOU ALL!"

In the Eradicator's base...

"Why did you call us here today?" Yifang asked.

"Some issues that needed to be discussed" Luke said in his gentlemanly way.

"Go straight to the point" Yifang coldly said.

"Ice queen, you can not ordered anyone around, got it?" Luke said.

"Now calm down and lets get talking, shall we?" Alex intervene seeing the situation about to escalate into something more serious.

"Okay, the purpose of this meeting is for us to talk about ways of earning money"

Surprised looks is what on most of the group's face.

"So, what is money? I will first define what money is, money is a legally or socially binding conceptual contract of entitlement to wealth, void of intrinsic value, payable for all debts and taxes, and regulated in supply"

"I bet that non of you can say a definite way of earning money in our current situation, did you?"

They all shook their heads.

"Aha, this is why we are here, I am going to teach you young ones on how to make money in you current situation" Luke said.

"Who the hell are you calling young ones?" Reginold has already stand up in a fit of anger the others are also feeling the same but they managed to control themselves.

"You see why I called you young ones, specifically you Reginold, it seems that you still can not control yourself even though you are learning something you don't know from an expert like me" Luke added.

"Argh!" Reginold gritted his teeth but still complied and sat down.

"Aha, while we are here, you will call me professor Luke, Is that understood?"

Even though they are annoyed at Luke, they still nodded their head.

"Good boys and girls, you see money is what makes the world go round, it is an essential part of the world now. Everyone wanted no, not wanted but needed money"

"At our current level, all the ways of earning money yield only small and slow results, you see writing a book on w******l just like how Alex is doing is a great work but not everyone is creative like him and besides we are much more lazier than him and took writing as a stressful work"

"So, our only chance is become a mercenary, warriors for hire. So what is this mercenary thing in detail and how do they work?"

"A mercenary is a person employed to fight in an armed conflict who is not a member of the statee or military group for which they are fighting and whose prime or sole motivation is private gain, basically we are warriors that takes quest and get rewarded for it"

"We will form our own mercenary band and start earning, I promised you that the pay is really good" Luke ended his long monologue here.
