It was finally our departure day, Jasmine was all looking professional and sweet, and the sun was just beginning to set as the plane touched down at Murtala Mohammed International Airport. I peered out the window, my heart fluttering with excitement and anticipation. As the plane taxied to a stop, I looked over at Jasmine and smiled. We were finally back in our home country, after spending so many weeks away.

As we made our way through the airport, I couldn't help but feel a rush of memories and emotions. It had been weeks yet felt like years since I had last set foot in Nigeria, and everything felt so familiar and yet so new.
