To Clarissa's surprise, Zane went straight to his room without a word to her. Clarissa sighed in relief, "maybe he's going to let me off this time." Clarissa thought to herself. [The next day]Clarissa woke up in the bathtub. All her body hurt and she could hardly move her legs. Zane had gone too far with her last night. All of a sudden, as if just getting her senses, Clarissa felt water all over her body. She realized that the bathtub was full and while turning her head slowly to the right, she said a silent prayer that she would not see Zane. Unfortunately for her, her prayers did not get answered. When I was finally out of Zane's view, he left. I got the coffee that Clarissa asked me for and I returned it to her. "Your coffee is here ma'am," I said to Clarissa while standing in front of her bedroom door. "Come in," Clarissa said to me. I opened the door and walked into her room. I put the key back inside my pocket and went downstairs to check on Zane and Clarissa but when I got there, they were not there. I went back up and checked if Clarissa's room was locked. It wasn't at all locked, just closed. But how would I know if she's in there? I can't just walk in. I decided to knock on the door. If she asked why I came, I would just say I was supposed to clean her room as I did with some others. Yes, that's right. I knocked on Clarissa's room but no answer came.
